Today I install the new truck tires, fix the threads on the oil pan, and paint it. 1952 Chevrolet 3100 Advanced Design. This classic truck will soon be on the road.

I thought you were a retired US Navy Sailor and now building a homestead. But towards the end of this video you gave an excellent explanation about taps. Are you sure you were not a mechanic in a previous life? I just learned a few new tricks. And many thanks for the work you do. Great stuff.

Great job Ovi. I should put you to work in the body shop! And good for you stressing the use of a respirator. I used to paint the whole sides of a car without one. You saw how winded I got walking from the boiler up to the house!😮

Good afternoon Aaron. You did fine. But yes, wearing a good respirator is very important. But the weather is so nice now that I may do any future painting outside.

The torque mainly is that they all grab the same or have the same pressure. It's for balancing purposes. Especially on cars that are constantly used on the highway. I am like you. Hand torque.

I have a 1951 and I used the same wheels they look great, what tire size did you use .The stove bolts are used to hold the tins is the reason they called them stove bolt 6 .Jeff

Hi Jeff, the new tires on my truck are 235/75R15. It's the same size as the tires there before. The previous owner had installed them back in the 90's. They seem big and beefy which will provide a nice smooth ride down the road. What size tires do you have on your 51? Welcome to the channel. I do some gardening and other homestead things, but am now working with the 52 truck and plan on doing many videos with it, mostly on Saturdays, but homesteading videos during weekdays.

@@oviduran the tires on my truck have been on it since 1984 .I have 70's in the front and 60's in the back.
