exactly. i continuously skipped though like 80% of this video. i don't see anything new. i've played all these games already... for the past 10 years. if better graphics = fun, then no one would be playing minecraft, pixel art style games, or tabletop board games.

But.. As good graphics become more easy to make as technology increases, good games will have easy access to leading graphics, which can in some cases add to the experience. I too, scrubbed through 80% of this as well though... Mostly just "Cringey-women-can-be-badasses-too!!11!one!!11!!" vibes and the already over-saturated Asian thematic.

And after you stop, you buy another game. Profit!

Certainly. But it seems there are enough people who buys games mostly for graphics, because games relying mostly on graphics instead of gameplay are being produced for a long time now.

Recent games are lack of that addiction, that environment, music, what called immersive. And lasted in our memory for a prolonged period. Only graphic does no justice.

@@azmaininkiyad8467 that's a valid point. That might explain why I keep playing 8-16-32 bit Bomberman while games with graphics super realistic only accumulate dust in my house

I'm more concerned about the boring, repetitive gameplay. We don't need another thousand identical FPSes.

It just looks like a cgi movie, nothing more. I bet when it will be playable, it'll look nothing like that.

don't be fooled by visuals Gfx's and alot of cgs, try seek in the game the element that has Gameplayability into it. I will teach you two games differently opposite from both and has it both. Tibia(Master Gameplay), Horizon Zero (Insane Gameplay with Beauty Graphics) hope i teached soemthing for you.

Yes, I have a Quest 2 and the immersion that VR offers, even with mobile graphics, is amazing. At the same time, a good portion of VR games are being made by indie companies without experience. Lacking the ability, time and money to polish games to a AAA standard. I was playing Battle Talent the other day, an excellent VR game, the best sword fighting game I've ever played in VR. Incredible in many aspects, especially in combat gameplay, but amateurish in various other areas (like items, campaign progression...etc) that we are used to seeing at a high level in traditional PC games.

game-wise it would be a logical consequence to develop that purely for highend PCVR.. or at least hybrid, especially in 2023. Economically.. I don't wanna talk about that. But seeing such a "made for VR" game in flat-only again would be a disgrace. As you mentioned, the level of immersion in VR would be mind-blowing! Looks even better than the RE games.

We allready have great landscapes in games, what we miss are realistic indoor scenes and lightning. Thats what they show us here. And the landscapes ... their nanite system is crazy realistic, just look for that on youtube and you will finde more than one video about it.

Rage 9 will be more optimised than UE5. So,even if RAGE 9 looks like UE%, it will run much better. Also, i dont think people would be sad if it looks like UE5 and not better, as UE5 is also quite realistic.

The next push will be for VR gaming to be this realistic graphics wise and maybe 20-30 yrs down the road be so realistic, that we can touch and smell as if we're actually in the game whilst gaming from the comfort of our homes!

It could be something like Ready Player One.

Maybe you need to be unconscious to be fully immersed in such a virtual environment in VRMMORPG concept games, like I've read plenty in Eastern novels or comics (those amazing gaming pods/tanks), and some Hollywood movies that used avatars to represent the users/players irl. Just using external devices like goggles or 360 running mats or harnesses can't make you feel the virtual as real. This will be like lucid dreaming but more awake than not, as your entire consciousness will be directly linked to the virtual environment. This concept is almost impossible to achieve though in our current reality as no amount of scientific knowledge and theories can control our consciousness at will.

Can Neuralink, or any other Brain-Computer Interface (BCI), make it possible to achieve this? The technology appears very promising, especially considering Elon Musk's statement that Neuralink could potentially restore vision to blind individuals. This implies that it may have the capability to transport us to a virtual reality and enable experiences like smell, touch, and more in the future. Additionally, since dreams sometimes blur the line between reality and imagination, could it be feasible to convert dreams into virtual reality experiences?​

@@olymolly3637 Yes, but when I play a VR game, I don't feel like I'm in an alternate reality. I feel like I'm inside a video game, which is already incredible in itself. What you're suggesting will only be possible if technology advances enough to simulate reality directly into the brain, without the use of a headset, controls, and external screens. Until that comes, there's still plenty of room for fun using headsets and motion sensors. Indeed, I'm not sure if it would be a good thing for us to have the capability to generate ultra-realistic simulations in our brain. If that becomes possible, a significant portion of humanity might choose to abandon real life. Imagine that we can simulate sex in our minds, in an ultra-realistic virtual reality that simulates not only sight but also smell, touch, and sensations on a level indistinguishable from reality, where anything is possible. That would be the end of the world. People would die of starvation connected to these machines living personal fantasies or would be fed through tubes. We would live in a Matrix by our own will, basically.
