Aerus LLC outsources all its manufacturing as of 2016. Its factory is used for assembly and packaging. The Lux Guardian Platinum C177A is nearly 10 years old, and the Lux Legacy C153E & Lux Classic C151H are 40-year-old Canadian designs. I agree with your assessment. Aerus is a niche brand that mainly sells to longtime customers that are ignorant of its business structure.
You’re better off getting a Miele C3 Brilliant or Sebo e3 for the price of those. They need to update the design and technology of the Aerus for it to be worth that price.
Lovely vacuum what you have, but those accessories like the hose and ph are unfamiliar to me. I have Lux Royal D790 and it's one of the best vacuums what I have owned. It's not perfect. Very bulky and heavy, but airflow and suction is really good. Motor (2-stage) tone is smooth and quiet. I had the original powerhead with it what was really good. Brushroll was small diameter, but it had big motor and very high rpm brushroll. Seeing that brushroll it was hard to believe how well it cleaned even higher pile carpets. I really regret selling the ph for one vacuum collector. One drawback of old Lux models is the powerhead cable what is wrapped around the hose. I think they changed it in early 2000. Combination nozzle what comes with Lux models in EU is one of my favorites. It's self adjusting to the carpets and hard floors using rubber bellows to rise and lower the brushes. It also has manual modes for all floor types. They have used the same technology from 70's to this day but it has evolved over time. I hope you get Lux Royal in some day. Not everyone likes it, but I really do 🙂🙂
Thank you! My Electrolux knowledge is a bit spotty, but I believe this hose/power nozzle setup was introduced with the U.S. Epic 6500 models in the early 90's. That Lux Royal of yours is a beautiful machine, I'm sure it'd be super popular with U.S. collectors if we got those models. Would be very interested in trying out those nozzles as well.
I still have my Electrolux vacuum from the early 70s I use it as a spare. Works better than the vacuum s that are out there on the market. The floor brush looks like the floor brush from the Electrolux vacuum s . The power nozzle looks like the nozzles from the Arius vacuum s from the 90s
