Psst easiest way to defeat seat belt alerts is to buy the male end from a junkyard and plug it in. Unless it's a nonstandard size which I doubt.

I agree on the beeper being annoying as I am driving a 98 International 9100 Series truck that has been equipped to haul bulk potatoes from the field. Due to the fact it sometimes visits the local plant that makes french fries and other potato items I have to have a back up alarm. Talk about something you hear even in your sleep.
@69rd96
@69rd96 8 лет назад
just click the set belt into itself on the seat, like the old school Deere skid steers had to, and yank the damn plug on the motion alarm, or try press and holding sown the cancel button for 7 seconds.

Beauty of a machine I was reading an article in the Wall Street journal last week saying how leasing is killing these companies like cat,Volvo,and Deere because it's flooding the market with nice equipment and nobody's buying new they are buying all these used machines at half the price
@CrazyEye75

the amount of different work you guys do I'm surprised you don't get a hydraulic quick coupler then you could have your 48 inch digging bucket then a 66 inch clean up and a clearing rake. Hell even a bolt on coupler be better than nothing

For the seatbeltwarning: Just fabricate a small metal piece that matches in size to the original seatbelt clip and stick it in (just leave it long enough so you can take it out without any trouble) or get one cheaply off ebay - look for "seatbelt clip". A simple solution for the beeping is probably to just remove the breaker for it or unhook the beeper (hopefully it will not throw out any fault codes)

I have always just clicked the seat belt in and sat on it. Not sure how comfortable that would be sitting for long periods of time, but I've never had to run a machine for long period of time.

Ebay sells something that looks like a seat-buckle, your imaginary seat-belt will be 'buckled' all of the time. They are around usd 1 or 2 delivered.
@MidasImperius
@MidasImperius 8 лет назад
also, we found out that the best way to get rid of the beeping is to just hook up the seatbelt, and leave it connected under your ass while you're operating. i'm not sure if the sensor for it is connected to the seatbelt buckle, or if it reads if the belt has been pulled out, or both.. i theorize that you could just cut off the buckle and connect it, then take the loose end of the belt and tie it up to something under your seat or something. never tried it though

I agree with the use of seat belts in airplane and road vehicles,..but that's it ! In heavy equipment it is a safety hazzard, as far as I am concerned. I won't get into the reason's why I think that, but I just added my opinion to Chris's. This is a good looking machine, and as I worked in heavy equipment and rented it too,.I KNOW what abuse rental equipment can be subjected to. First thing I would want done , at the dealer's expense, is change ALL the fluids AND filters. Because sure as heck the rental customers would not have done this. I also agree with getting rid of those annoying alarms too,..god, pretty soon, they will want rubber teeth on a chain saw , so you won't cut yourself !! Nice machine Chris, now let's see how she performs.

I know if you delete the def crap it will drastically increase power and fuel efficiency, the engine doesn't have to work to push the exhaust through all the def crap, I know our friend has a 2010 6.6 duramax, and when he deleted def it damn near doubled his fuel mileage and increased the power majorly

Cutter blades. i wonder if the cutter blades are actually installed TOO HIGH.. if you bring them down closer to bottom of the bucket.. you might get only smaller easy to break out branches and debris wedged in.. or if adding a C faced plate to each one so its closer to the bottom of the bucket and does not have the area to jam stuff into.. only thoughts..

wouldn't a clip from a car fit in it? Or redirect the wires from either the seat or the clipholder to keep it quiet. We did that with all our machines and trucks. Dang beeping drives a man insane haha
@skeetersaurus6249
@skeetersaurus6249 7 лет назад
EC220's have been around for about 4-years now, but that $120k for a >500-hr machine is a bit much, that comes down to around $15 per hour depreciation (to 5k hours), plus that $20 an hour for diesel and DEF, you're breaking even at $60 an hour for just an operator, maintenance and fuel - or around $100 an hour to turn a dime. You've got to have deep pockets for most machines like this, or SERIOUS contract work.
@ih1206

If it's a 2 wire switch going to the seat belt switch, just cross the 2 wires somehow, back probe the connector with a paper clip or cut the wires and splice them together
@lancesnyder2613
@lancesnyder2613 8 лет назад
Only prob is if you get quick cplr ya have to get new thumb that longer so she still match up to bucket. Sucks cus the longer thumbs for quick cplrs are narrower to reduce weight

Be interesting how long that emissions motor goes before it needs rebuilt. I'd say 85% or better of semi trucks with emissions motors rarely make it over 600,000miles without major repairs, especially Mack trucks (Volvo made Mack trucks). Just speaking from experience. Good luck.

They are just an absolute headache. The equipment isnt as bad as the trucks, but it is getting better. Making an engine suck most of its exhaust right back in just isn't acceptable to me. That's my 09 cummins is deleted. Thankfully KY isn't strict on it yet :)

order a spare seat belt buckle or find a junk one to plug into the buckle. Then you wont wear out the seat belt from having it buckled in all the time and rubbing it across your back. Or figure out how to jump out the switch on it.

easiest solution ive found for the seat belt thing is to cut the connector off the belt and plug it into the receiver, sure you cant use it anymore but im too lazy to go through operator manuals and try to find a fuse or wire..... or i suppose you could just sit on the belt while its in the receiver... i dunno
