im just going to put this out there as a pcvr user graphics mean literally nothing to me because all that eye candy quickly falls flat if the gameplay is trash but as someone who was born in 91 graphics were also never the big thing for me its just a shame that people wont try things these days unless it has the latest shiniest coat of paint
Graphics in vr do mean a bit more than flat screen games. Clarity for competitive games but better visuals for single player games for better immersion. I agree graphics are not everything but it depends on the game that depends on which one to prioritize, graphics, clarity, or a style that works for the game. I dont mind worse internal resolutions as long as the game is clear in vr. If its blurry it can affect the user experience greatly. For example developers should prioritize optimizations for the hardware to ensure the game looks clear vs graphic fidelity. Not a lot of people understand that internal texture resolution is different than screen resolution. Screen resolution = clarity. Internal texture resolution = ingame texture clarity. However internal texture clarity can only be seen if screen resolution is clear otherwise most things appear blurry anyway unless your face is right next to whatever your looking at. So basically its a balance that developers need to get down for vr. I dont know if you've noticed that most games on standalone are very blurry especially quest 2 games not optimized for quest 3. Unless you use quest games optimizer which bumps up screen resolution and then they appear very clear but the environment and objects textures look low resolution when viewed up close.
@@InsomniuhVr i dont notice because my vision in general is quite blurry low textures and immersion dont really mean much for me i understand that im a tiny minority though im just happy i can experience any of this new age tech i never thought i would get to
@FynfromGames for sure I have all resident evils on pc with vr mods and man with the highest vr settings on virtual desktop it looks better than most vr games I have ever seen besides half life alyx. Running a 4090 with a dedicated wifi 6e router trust me its better than psvr2 with a quest 3 wirelessly connecting to my pc.
Vr needs to be more immersive. If a vr game is visually pleasing, it adds to the experience. I only like a few vr games that don't have the best graphics. I do agree that the story definitely matters, but it is nice to have a good looking game.
Exocars looks super fun. Also, Im looking forward to trying kayak vr on the 18th. Not trying to get to hyped for batman, but im hopefull it will be badass
Batman Arkham Shadow is made by Oculus Studios? Is it the same studio that made the Lone Echo games? I’d still love a Lone Echo 3 to complete the story. Also because Lone Echo 1 & 2 are phenomenally good VR games.
