Happy Christmas to me! That's what it's all about, right? Buying yourself presents? In this last video for 2023 I add some gorgeous BBS split rim wheels on my DIY EV. These 17in style RC041 (I think) rims are an original BMW fitment that I picked up from eBay for £510. I've then had them professionally powder coated at Evolution Coatings in Irlam, Greater Manchester, and added alloy centres. They're all shod in Nexen N'Fera tyres, 235x55s for plenty of rubber - just like I saw in the Alfa Romeo and Porsche museums when I was looking for inspiration.
I am really pleased with the way these have come out. They're not absolutely perfect as they are probably older than me and powder coating won't hide the little bits of pitting. But they're on a car that looks even older and the style and sizing is just bang on. Now I just need to make the rest of the car look as good, and that's the job for 2024.
