As a white woods fan, he's right on the money. It's a maybe one of to help dodge DRNM or droplet. Thankfully, you can just tribute diabell and bring her back with it so it isnt too heavy a cost going 1st.
Tributing to negate isnt that far off i would say, the whitewoods trigger mainly on summon so they just sit there for most of the turn giving them another purpose improves your endboard in my opinion. And we have to consider that it is a quickly so you can dodge some interactions. And about the illions, there are 2 prime targets 1. the lv 8 synchro is a illusion. So you can tribute it on activation and special it on resolution (if im not reading too much into that). And 2. Summoning Diabellze on enemy turn?
The archetype is pretty open-ended, so it can take advantage of any future Spellcaster support. The deck has one in archetype illusion synchro monster.
It can help dodge a negate, and depending on the build, you'll be getting back Diabell or Diabellze, a Chimera-oriented card, or a generic Illusion monster. It does require a bit of set-up, so I wouldn't be using multiples. Not the greatest, but not a bad card overall.
This is pretty depressing as a white woods fan not gonna lie… we didn’t need anything crazy but we definitely needed SOMETHING good for a wave 2 and unfortunately this is a side deck 1 of at BEST ;( I fear we need to wait 3 months for the next wave. Only thing we can hope for is another centurion card that will help centurion white woods but idk
With the exception of snake-eye and yubel most of the new archetypes we have received in core sets recently haven't got more than utility cards for their second waves. So I wouldn't expect much in future.

I think this card is great, your focusing too much on the cost as tribute and not realizing all the White Woods Synchros are Illusion so you can summon back the Synchro that you tiributed and re trigger the white woods plus get a negate I think it’s pretty free and pretty good
