There’s like a handful of cosmetics I enjoy in the game. The beast hunter garb, I think the name changed after some update. And the booty shorts. Oh and the boots with the fur. Other than that, a lot of skins are horrendous >.
I quited new world a few months after release, they kept shooting they´re foot and now they are doing it again...in October diablo will release the expansion and Path of Exile 2 will release the early access (also in consoles) A big part of the remaining New World players will be on those games...this will be a disaster...
What? It took me 2 hours to figure out that Diablo 4 is a bad game. Path of Exiles I never bothered to even try, ARPG genre at this point is just thoroughly done 20 years ago. Going to wait for Dune: Awakening myself.
@@karisalonen12 I mean taste in video games might be different but saying that the first few hours of diablo 4 are bad is a rare opinion i believe. The game is actually great when you ignore its monetization and dont invest more than ~80hours into it. Path of exile 2 is an anticipated game (on steam wishlist place 18). Doesnt mean you have to be excited for it, but a lot of people are.
Imagine making a statement that “more players” should motivate you, when promoting it as a solo ARPG co-op optional game in October 🍻 Still best MMO out there though 🤷♂️
So last time I played New World was Nov 2021 and I stopped after 109.3 hrs because back then the developers lied and wouldn't allow my character from a Europe Server to Transfer to a U.S. server even though at the beginning they said it was possible. I live in the U.S. and back then there were limited servers and I couldn't get to play with my friends in their U.S. server but they told me to go ahead and play on EU Server and I can transfer later then the developers did a 180 and said its not possible even though there were screenshots and dev replying to players on their website it was. That pissed me off and stopped playing. I dont know if they ever fixed that problem but hearing all the backlash even till this day is hilarious to me.
No trying to be mean, but at point do you just say “I’ve played 100-1000s of hours, done everything there is to offer 10 times over. I got my moneys worth, maybe I shouldn’t keep complaining and just move on to another game until there is more content that I want/like released.” Not every game has to be played 1000s of hours in one go, or at all, even an MMO. Even the best examples have dry content spells, I don’t get this expectation that no-one’s put on this game but yourself.
The fact they added matchmaking to arena and not OPR just shows how dumb the devs are. 6k hours and I can't cope anymore for the devs to drop some decent content. 3 years and you can't even make an OPR map and Scott said we know you don't really want a new map. New World could be an awesome game if it was in the hands of anyone besides AGS. I want the game to do good and I believe the devs do also but on console KEKW.
They need to make a new new world too Teleport or Gate or Fast Travel too with new stories, monsters, adventures too add onto your experience. Keep base game the same, but add a new world to travel too that is voxial based survival world look at other games in development like Light No Fire or Enshrouded, or Soul Mask, ect... and build something that competes with those player bases...
There's not a lot of new content in this one. It was mostly about putting in the new engine, swimming and other foundation stuff and sorting out bugs before console release. They said we'll get the new content map after the october launch. The stuff they did takes a long time and takes away from new content. I think it will work out in the end but we'll have a delay before new content. I think GS increase will be like umbral shards. It only takes you to 725 and they didn't mention new crafting cap. I think that's why there's a limit on the new content.
Forgot to mention. if I'm right about the new content being new umbral shards to go to 725 then that will all be skippable because the next GS upgrade will come with crafting upgrade too.
Even though you had an overall disappointed response to the Q&A (which most of us did), I appreciate that you gave your feedback in a constructive and respectful manner. There are so many content creators (and keyboard warriors) that blast the devs and are just straight up hateful towards them. If I was a new player and watched your video, I wouldn't walk away with terrible thoughts towards the game. I would simply think "Sounds like its a good game, but it just needs more content for end game." +1 subscriber
Appreciate it. I don’t hate the game, I just have zero desire to play it at its current state. I want the game to succeed but the constant disappointment and underwhelming “content updates” have me taking a huge hiatus from the game.
They should follow Guild Wars 2 business model. You can play up to a point for free. If you want to go or do quests in expansion(s) areas, then buy the DLC. You get so much for free 2 play, that paying for the DLC is a no brain.
While the AG team has definitely fumbled the development of the game... You and other streamers have to realize that everyone doesnt no-life games like you all...
I understand that. That’s why I want to see better spawn times on farming mats and more solo-able content. I think the game will be incredible in a couple of years
The problem with making a game F2P with MTX is that it opens way too many doors for egregious monetization. Slippery slope, as they say. I think a 1 time purchase is fine, because it makes them enough money to not put paywalls in front of every single thing. Obviously there's no way to know for sure, but just something to be mindful of.
I've never seen a studio be this incompetent and out of touch. Sad I have almost 4k hours in NW. Only thing they ever got right was the combat, they killed their own game as far as PC goes. Imagine being a studio owned by Amazon being this shit.
imagine sinking 4k hours into a game you don't like and think the developer is shit. you should consider the game needs funding and the smaller player base/legacy players arent enough for them. theyre decision was to either stop supporting the game alltogether or release to console.
@@KatContii Like most of us. The game needs more replaybility. Starting from scratch with friends is heavily disincentivized by the huge grind and one character does it all system. The way the game works, we will always finish content faster than they can develope it.
@@JEROBI37 maybe... but the point is they at least need to try and bring in new blood... if they cant... the game WILL die and they will abandon it... so if you want your game to even have a CHANCE at lasting... they need the console base... AND YES... new content for existing players...
What rubs me the wrong way most is all the broken promises and the fact I was "emotionally" invested to this game and they are clearly going to direction that just ain't gonna be game I would be that interested in. So I just move on and leave this one behind. I mean, they could've focused on bringing new content but they didn't. Three boss raid isn't much of content and I don't believe it existing until it is in the game and is more than one week of playable content. They could've worked on fixing the bugs but some bugs have been in the game for far too long and the slayer script to fight bugs seems to be mostly useless. I'm just done with AGS and New World at this point.
