@@krisgordon3116 intent is important. The Deadskins didn't think it was cancerous, so it's just as bad, but with a potentially worse outcome. Due to incompetence. In a sense, the Jets did worse because they actively deceived him, while the Deadskins were had incompetent hubris. Had he died they and the league would be in so much trouble, that it was in their best interest to take better care of him. The Jets on the other hand? That's some extra evil stuff. Both horrible, but one was incompetence that could have caused so much more damage while the other was less life-threatening, and less damaging to the team. Basically, the Jets took no real risk in deliberately mistreating a player, while the Deadskins could have killed their player as well as their own franchise through unadulterated, shameless laziness and hubris.

At least the Mets were bearable last season.

And also the Mets was above .500 so yeah.
