I had a strange feeling about the Lions game. I had expected the Steelers to end up winning (because, I mean, it is Detroit they're playing), but to see a game this beautifully terrible to the eyes? It was something special. So special, in fact, that it at least rivals the Packers/Bengals Field Goal Whiff-fest earlier this season. Not sure if it matches the nine-overtime epic in Happy Valley, but it will fill us all with just as much misery and laughter.
Unless you're a fan of either team (or a connoisseur of terrible football), this was a game you avoided at all costs. But I implore you to stop and appreciate this kind of greatness for yourself. This video is in tribute to such an enterprise. Whether that be in how ironically terrible this video is or not is to be determined.

I'm going to be brutally honest here: I was pulling for the Lions to win, full stop. They were the victim of a lot of lousy luck and outright BS up to this point, and despite the usual Lions level of ineptitude, this simply didn't have the look of a squad that _deserved_ to go 0-17. Meanwhile the Steelers make one jaw-dropping bonehead move after another and somehow *NEVER* get creamed for it, and they were the recent beneficiaries of one of the most nakedly rigged football games I have seen in my _life._ If there ever was a game where karma _demanded_ that one side win and the other lose, this was it. Guess it's just indicative of how this crummy season has gone that even karma can only do a halfway job. Ah well. Just one win, Lions! Even you're capable of that!

I'm with you Tree. Troy is still one of the most interesting and exciting players to ever play, any position, at any time, in any sport. His ability to play on all 3 levels is still probably only rivaled by Ronnie Lott from any defensive player. He was borderline psychic with an unmatched nose for the ball. One of the most volatile players in NFL history :(
