I absolutely love Johnny style of interviewing when it comes to drugs. I’ve seen so many ex drug dealers on podcasts but they rarely seem to openly break down what they were making every week. Johnny is the only person I watch that will always ask for the specific numbers.

Irish Catholics who came to the United States came from a farming / agricultural background back in Ireland. When they came to the United States they wanted to escape the insecure farming lifestyle so they (or their children) gravitated to secure public sector jobs (police, fire, sanitation, corrections departments etc.)
@@mrbond9882 Also, this explains why most Irish Catholics live in big cities (NYC, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco etc.) Even though most of them came from a farming background, very few of them moved out into rural areas and pursued a career in farming - it's too insecure!
It wasn't, it was because city jobs were the only employment opportunities the Irish catholics had. The Ulster-Scots were quickly hired by private businesses because they were Protestant and blacks had cornered the farm worker jobs. It was sectarianism and nothing to do with the choices the Catholics had because they didn't have any

I been watching Dowd since he hit RU-vid a few years ago, I never get tired of hearing his stories. Some ppl don’t like him and think he is a scumbag but I’m not going to judge him bc I never was in his shoes.

I love this interview with Mike and one of the things I like about Mike is he keeps it real. Every body makes mistakes in life especially back in the 80s and 90s because it was so easy to make money and it was everywhere. I’m from East New York and I used to sell drugs back in the late 80s and 90s so I know what it was like and I actually met Adam Diaz once. I take my hat off to Mike he has nothing to be ashamed of because he’s not the first or the last cop to do what he did, how many dirty cops have killed people and never did a day in jail.

I learned spades before I went to jail when I was a teenager. Alot of my older peers where coming in going to the county n upstate. I love that game. I love Mike too. He's a character. 75 was a great doc
This is so crazy, informative and wise. The way he discussed escalation and policing issues was so eloquent and to the point excellent. They are some young man I know who have been ganged up, and I feel like this content would give them an accurate perception of what they face in this world if they go down that path further
The connect, you guys should try and do an interview with someone who was involved with the dirty cops, on King cross, in Australia, during the 80s (I think) crazy stories
It's good to see Mike. I've followed him on Rogan, Matt Cox, Koncrete/Danny/John Alite, Vlad, and i think he was on Julian. He's usually all over the place. He's entertaining and has a good twisted sense of humor.
It's so interesting watching the way Johnny interviews White people and refer to other ethnicities vs how he acts when he interviews Black and Brown people and talk about White people. The code switch is hard-core.
Every interview Mike does is entertaining as ish much respect 💪🏽 and low-key. I think these guys both did a couple lines couple lines for this interview 😎
My uncle told me a story about how his friend connected him to a cop for coke and kind of didnt believed him.. he made it seem so easy to deal back then.

Interesting how you find justification for this criminals behavior. I think it's a shame so many try to put criminals on pedestals but then demonize people who speak out for human rights.

This was a great interview!! Mike needs to talk more about how to deal with people and not so quick to go to the gun. Learn to talk to and respect each other.

I have gone down the rabbit hole with Mike and seen several of his interviews including a full-length documentary. He didn't do anything that a thousand other cops weren't doing. He just had absolutely no internal controls to say enough is enough. When you start doing something like he did, you have to keep it on the down low and not get too big. You've got to walk carefully and look over your shoulder. Mike almost advertised it to everybody. He's making 25k a year as a cop, but yet drives a brand new Corvette costing almost $40,000 to work, and Parks it in his lieutenants parking spot. I think there was something about Mike that was mentally ill. He says himself it's almost like he wanted to get caught. He said as they were hauling him off after his arrest, he felt relief that he didn't have to go through this anymore. Crazy.
He said “that’s how they took down the Supreme Team”, “they murdered a cop”! Wrong!!! It was Pappy Mason’s people, who killed the cop. Pappy Mason worked for Fat Cat (Lorenzo Nichols), Pappy was the muscle. Edward Burns was the name of the cop that was killed. It happened in Queens, NY. Get your facts straight instead of spewing shit as if you know what you’re talking about!
I love johnny and the channel content but these digital zooms are out of control. the story telling and interview style are amazing and plenty to to keep adults engaged without it looking like it was auto-edited by a tiktok phone app
He mentioned that the clean cops wanted him dead or at least didn’t care for him and thus didn’t inform him abt the hit on him because he was dirty. Funny shit is that it’s the opposite now.
There's an old book out that was written about the NYPD era Dowd was part of... the title is "Buddy Boys" and is about the 77th Precinct. Crooked as a dog's hind leg, but tame as a lamb these days.
When a Cop tell another Cop to stay out of their sector its because they have that sectors and they don't want you stirring shit up where now they have to clean it up and/or if they have a place to eat and don't need every Cop from the PCT going there. .. .also we use to say its a "wink and a nod"
