The New York Yankees had an improbable and entertaining run through the 2017 postseason. Here are the best offensive highlights from the playoffs. I don't own any of the content, it all belongs to MLB.
Bryson Herazo Where’s the proof? Yankees have already been shown that they are cleared in any cheating. Also did you not pay attention to this video? The Yankees scored a ton of runs during these games, and had the Indians up 8-3 in Cleveland. So look at you, another astros dumbass accusing the Yankees of false cheating. Priceless.
Bryson Herazo LMAO, this was never true, the Red Sox used sign stealing in 2018 and it was confirmed so look at you dumbass, accusing us of shit we didn’t do and the MLB cleared of us doing.
God I almost completely forgot how good Bird was in '17, and that 3 run jack by Todd Frazier, Didi and Sanchez totally on fire... really miss that year's postseason, everything seemed to be going the Yankees way
No, YOU lost this series. The Yankees scored 3 runs in 4 games at Minute Maid Park after scoring 19 runs in 3 games at Yankee Stadium. The Astros trash cans didn't steal the Yankees bats.
If you're a Yankees fan, you HAVE to be happy with this season. It was supposed to be a rebuild year for y'all....and you almost went to the World Series. That's a hell of a rebuild year looool. Seriously tho, Yankees gonna be a special team with Aaron Judge leading the way.
Totally coming from a Yankees fan I was very happy with the season. Although we didn't win the championship but we weren't supposed to make it to the ALCS let alone the Playoffs lol. But now we got Stanton Lol damn I wonder how we are going to be in 2018 can't wait for the season.
Red Pill Yankee Stanton-Judge lineup is automatic L for the rest of the American League lol. I'm expecting another Astros-Yankees ALCS rematch this year
I said it then I will say it again. Never in recent history has a Yankee team gotten such contributions, clutch hits, and meaningful home runs from the entire team. Nobody carried the team on his back like Ortiz in 2013 or A-Rod in 2009 - everybody got good pitches to hit and did work. It was awesome to see - SUCH a different look from a team that spent close to 8 years of watching amazingly talented players fumble in the post season (Cano, Tex, A-Rod) while always looking to Derek Jeter to start the rally. The WC game in 2015 was exactly those Yankees - 3 singles, shut out when it mattered the most. These guys instead came back from 0-2 twice with home run after home run of go-ahead and game-tying shots. We all know there are super stars on this team but even the Yankees' greatest super stars have fumbled in the post season. Here you got Aaron Judge who K'd nearly 50% of the time but also smokes 4 HRs, 3 2Bs, and 11 RBIs.
Yeah you gotta figure this series was basically decided by both of his pitching performances. No way to know exactly what would've happened without him, but there's a decent chance the Astros lose the series with no Verlander.
You’re right but that wasn’t exactly something that came expected... but also.. when u play a championship level team with that staff.. how bout this... let’s not acknowledge that year yanks went 6-0 at home in the playoffs (if u count the wild card play in game) and 1-6 on the road... HUGE split... Houston didn’t beat them once in NY.. 4 wins for them in Hou 3 for the yanks in NY... my point? Get homefield this year... it matters more than anyone talks about.. 1-6 Road 6-0 home? That speaks pretty loudly and even still.. any Yankee fan knows going to Houston? Going to a minn this year? Oh boy.. them coming to the Bronx? Big diff in how confident u get... that’s the lesson learned of a tiny overlooked factor and my fingers r crossed cuz gimme down 3-2 with 2 at Yankee stadium over up 3-2 with 2 on the road... and that’s dead serious
@@stevendoldy7736 does the yankees also scoring like 3 runs in 4 games at houston also explain the split? while them scoring a crap ton more runs at home also explain the split?
These team was so fun to watch. They put creative pieces together to make a contending team, relying on their young core and veteran presence in the clubhouse. Gary ,Judge, Bird , Gardner and Sabathia should’ve had a ring
Im here in 2019 disappointed about our 2018 playoff run and wanting to reminisce about out 2017 playoff run. We did so great in 2017 and didn’t do as great in 2018 i was so hype for 2018 and it it ended disappointingly.. but its 2019 and i feel we will learn from 2018 and even 2017 and hopefully go deep into the postseason with a hopeful 2019 worldseries appearance, I know we can do it.
let that be the begining...lets go boys almost time to embark on that long journey again never give up never stop pushing...when u wear the pinstripes u always have a target on ur back their not gonna give u inch...u gotta take every mile!!!LETS GO YANKEES!!!!
Watching this in 2021 and remembering when in 2017 we weren’t even contenders for the playoffs and now we suck😭. 2017 season the best one I’ve watch since a long of seasons I’ve watched , we had an amazing vibe in the dog out and now no one can’t even make someone smile with this sh*t of coach
That Twins wild card game will go down as one of the greatest games I've ever seen. Same with that Indians Alds. Ahh man what a run that year..shame we blew it against the Astros.
MelodicaMusic 40 is pushing it but he does have a very bright future. Great replacement for Tex. I say he’ll put up about 30 - 35 if he stays healthy. Let’s see if his foot holds up
right now bird is a young nick johnson he definetly has a higher ceiling than johnson did. but i can remember them hyping the shit out of johnson and the guy would sneeze and miss half the season. bird seems to be following in that path as a guy who is just incapable of staying healthy.
I was at Game 4 of the ALDS game. Is was pretty cool. I live in Stockton California My uncle was born in Stockton but lives in New York. Then you have Aaron Judge who was raised in Stockton playing for New York. His dad was my PE teacher in 7th grade and his mom was my moms PE teacher in HS
LETSSSS GOOOO YANKEESSSSS!!!! YANKS 4 EVER!!!!!! ONCE A YANKEE ALWAYS A YANKEE!!!!!! I ❤️ DIS TEAM!!!!!!! DIS TEAM HAS ALWAYS BEEN SPECIAL!!!!!!!! IM A YANKEE 4 EVER!!!!!!!
They may not have gone all the way but, god damn was last year a lot of fun. This year is different though... their energy isn't the same without Todd and Toe in the dugout. Now with Judge and Sanchez hurt, Sevy going through a slump and Cashman ripping apart their pen, I feel like the season is going to end early this year.
Why couldn’t we have this Sanchez this postseason smh idk what happened to him hopefully he can get it together and have another season like 2017 again
Knowing what we know now makes this even more bittersweet we were beating the breaks off them at home and we could have done the same in minuet made the Yankees were truly the better team in 2017
