My perception is that a Superette is usually somewhat larger than a Dairy, with a greater stock range. Dairies tend to sell basics such as milk, butter, bread and other commonly used supplies needed when you can't get to a supermarket. The Superette, as the name suggests is modelled more on a Supermarket and often stocks quite a wide range of supplies needed for the home. Cheers.
i thought so but then you see some superettes literally the size of a public toilets and then dairies the size of a four squares, depends where in the country u are i guess
Hey Curls. Nice to see you walking around my old stomping grounds. I used to live in a suburb called Te Atatu South, not far from Avondale. As for your confusion between a dairy and a superette, a dairy was where you went to buy a milkshake or an icecream. A superette was just a bigger version of the same. Dairy's were found all over the place and a superette was normally found in small shopping areas with other shops. Our most famous superettes are the ever-present 4 Square. Hope this helps and if I'm mistaken, I'm sure I will be corrected by other commenters. Cheers, Dude.
Great video - love your Avondale representation, and the street art is lovely! I used to get worried about 'no exit' signs when I was I kid - I thought I could never come out! 😂
HI In my youth the Hollywood was a movie theatre and every Friday night (correct me if I'm wrong) they would show The Rocky Horror Picture Show they did this for years and years. Many of the audience would go in costume and singing and dancing was the norm. Also The big black spider seen in some graffitti and big one used to sit on a pole in the shopping centre. The story goes that when they demolished the old grandstand at the rececourse they found heaps of these large spiders. Apparently the timber used came from Australia and it came with baby Huntsman spiders which thrived in the old grandstand. I can still remember doing The Timewarp in the aisles after filling up at the pub. Ahhhh......youth
I sent you a dm on instagram regarding why you were not allowed to film in southmall Manurewa. There’s actually a dark reason behind it and I want to explain to you why
Wow, the amount of people that call you out when you're working around the towns in New Zealand! You'd never get that here in London unless a knife follows the call out!!
If you are still traveling around west Auckland, don't forget to visit piha and karekare beaches. Take a magnet with you to play with the sand. If you pass through Glen Eden, you might like to try west roast for a delicious takeaway roast meal. It is on west coast road near Glendale road. You will need your own utensils.
Hey, I’m moving to South Auckland from the UK with my wife and 5 children this year. Looking for the best suburb near the coast preferably. Any advice would be great.
Doesn't the Hollywood Cinema hold the world record for screenings of The Rocky Horror movie. It used to have a marvelous Wurlitzer organ. And it's A(a)vondale as in Cat. A(e)vonside in Christchurch

@@RaynJacob what ever. Alot of out street names are in Maori. UNLIKE AUSSIE. Maybe it looks similar with the architecture because it's a HIGH DENSLY POPULATED AREA. SHIT GETS REPETATIVE IN THE CITYS ALL AROUND THE WORLD
@@ZmanTace yes, it's all repetitive, because it's the false reality and duplication of creation. Every town/city whirled wide has bn turned into a computer circuit gaming board with no respect for natural life or godly design. Curlies handsigns reiterate who he works for. Oh vey.
