JJ Watt is a beloved treasure to the city of Houston. He is so humble that he litterally had to Google what to do when you have 100 million dollars. He has married another Houston athlete in the women's soccer world. He holds a softball game every year at minute made park (home of the Houston astros) for charity. JJ has a bright future as a commentator and a face and name for the NFL. Everyone I know that has met him has said that he is one of the sweetest and most amazing humans they have ever met.

The reason they boo’d JJ at when we drafted was because for a long time the Texans fans wanted to draft a high caliber QB and we drafted a DE and the boo’s from the draft helped motivate JJ become who he is today and also will always be a legend for what he did for the city of Houston during the hurricane and more. JJ will always be a Houston Legend!🤘🏽🙏🏽

The Hurricane Harvey thing others have mentioned: he initially hoped to raise $200,000 in relief funds via Facebook. Response was so great that it wound up being $37 million in about 2 weeks time. For this (and other off the field achievements) he wears on his uniform the image that can only be worn by a winner of the NFL’s highest prize, the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Only 6 active players currently wear the symbol.

Texans fans were hoping the team would use that high draft pick to get a star quarterback and not a defensive player. But it took all of about two weeks that season for him to become the most beloved player in the history of the franchise. Dude is simply a beast on the field. J.J. is also a genuinely good guy off the field too. Unfortunately, he has suffered from some nagging injuries the last few seasons, which is why there probably aren't any new highlight videos.

JJ Watt is the hardest working and most humble person in the NFL these days. He proved his haters wrong, didn't brag and helped his community on several occasions including after the Hurricane decimated it.
@jperr2422
@jperr2422 3 года назад
Hey Courtney, I know that one guy who booed and said that it was a waste of an 11th pick. We asked him if he regretted it but he said that at the time he thought the reaction was appropriate. At teh time the fans wanted a star quarterback. Actually, it's all the fans have wanted since the beginning of the franchise. Funny thing is that we have one now and we're not helping him out and he wants out. JJ is basically what you want from an athlete. An athletic monster that is first one in and last one out but also soft spoken outside of the field. He goes in before the games and plays catch with all the fans, signs autographs when people are out there and would murder other people on the field. lol. He usually plays defense but on some of those plays they were having fun and he played on the offence too. After hurricane Harvey he raised $30M to help Houston recover from it while some rich church televangelists here closed their doors (I'm looking at you Joel.) So yeah. We love JJ Watt here in Houston and hope he never leaves but the team is run by idiots so.........

Its not gonna happen with the Texans :(oh also .. it was just a few fans that didnt like the pick. He was given a chance by most fans.
