They used to do the slit the throat gesture but that was considered to violent and banned as apparently it could be seen as a death threat. I think that's just a ridiculous snowflake excuse but it does emphasise the power behind the Haka. I like that he mentioned that it is a sign of respect to the opposition. I can just imagine 100 Maori warriors on each side doing the Haka before they went into battle against each other. Man on man they must've been a formidable enemy and what would rugby be without the 4 Islanders Hakas, I just hope Fiji, Tonga, Samoa become competitive rugby nations against the top tier nations. S Africans love these islanders.
