Cleanest Truck by far the Blue Mainfreight Kenworth on Ngauranga Gorge, Nice work that man.
Welcome to the video, Another great day out in Beautiful New Zealand filming Big Rigs, this time we are back in my favorite area of NZ Wellington more specifically Petone. tryed to hunt out some new spots to keep things interesting.
You will see Kenworth which has some of the nicest looking rigs out here, other trucks are Kenworth, Mack, Mercedes-Benz,Scania , Fuso, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Daf western star, International ,CAT and more!

For some reason I really like the configurations that you run in NZ; I also find it fascinating to see makes from all over the world and the different approaches they take. I’m in the US. I’ve always liked long hood Kenworths although I’ve driven a lot of Freightliner Cascadias my last few years before retiring, and they were very comfortable trucks. Thanks for these videos, really enjoy them.

Ten4 - Scania's are my favourite trucks. I used to drive them in UK in the 1980s! Great to see so many of them in NZ.

Umm about time here ìn NewZealand we have the lowest accidents in the trucking industry. Simpel our N.Z. Transport ensures all safety precautions are adhere to. I've seen video footage of several trucking company's all over the world and is devastating disasters. It's a matter of your height , length, roads. Thanks for sharing this video.

2:49 3:53 4:40 etc. From Japan・・・　 It's strange that so many large trucks pass through the roundabout, yet no traffic accidents occur. This is unthinkable in Japan. There are roundabouts in Japan, but only a few in the suburbs of regional cities, and none in the big cities of Tokyo and Osaka. Places with this much traffic are ordinary intersections with traffic lights.

How much of the heavy truck fleet have side underrun protection bars do you reckon? Seems like it’s just the fuel trucks / trailer, and maybe the odd one from a major trucking line at the moment.

Is there a speed that trucks cannot go above when coming down the Ngauranga Gorge, or is it just a case of as long as they make it to the bottom without running into something everything is OK?

Just asking because here in over-regulated Australia there are a number of hills that I can think of off the top of my head where trucks have to be locked into a lower gear and descend using only engine brake or retarder without using service brakes due to the number of runaways and crashes due to brakes fading caused by too high speed.

Fantastic video....Great mix of vehicles over there We just get boring euro 6 choked bore fests in the UK No manual trucks anymore and they all sound like vacuum cleaners 😡 It's a shame....no character whatsoever compared to your trucks 👍

Another great and enjoyable video. Quick question what does the “H” designate on the front of some trucks? Thanks in advance. Oh and Kenworth, always enjoyed driving those the most. Retired back in 2012 after 37 years and some days I still miss it.

It actually stands for HPMV (High Productivity Motor Vehicle) and allows for additional weight and/or length and/or mass along specified routes under permit.

Because this would not classify it as a truck but as a special vehicle. 10:49: And what manufacturer is this? Ford? Because it has an oval on its emblem and it reminds me of the Ford logo.
