Newborn French Bulldog Puppies and a thing called Cradle Cap.
🛑DO NOT PANIC!
Essentially what cradle cap is for a puppy, is similar to a form of dry skin. This is not due to dirty conditions, or lack of cleanliness n the part of the breeder.
Some pups will get it and some will not.
You would be hard pressed to hear of a breeder discussing it due to their fear of lessening the price of the dog. However the truth is, it happens and it’s good to know what to do.
Definitely do not panic. Applying mineral oil, or coconut oil will loosen up the dry patch and help break it up.
Once gone, the hair will grow back and your pup will be good as new!
Do not scrape it. Allow it to go away on its own.
Because the pups are so young, I would recommend staying away from any type of antibiotic ointment.
Just care for the pups as you normally would and things will be fine!
