Brereton Diaz goes down like he has been by a truck 😂 My stake bet on us leading by halftime almost ruined by dogsh*t refs, Maybe premier league should save the VAR money and start giving acting classes to players instead 🤮
Diaz only PL appearences before this was with Sheff Utd last season, a team that plays in red and white stripes and was relegated. Let's hope history repeats itself. And then he signs for the mackems. 🤣🤣🤣
The joke is on Schar. He is an experienced player and a big man. Someone cheap-shot you, you shove him to the ground, each got a yellow and move on. He knows full well any contact above the neck is an invite for opponent to make a meal of it and trouble for his team
@@kevint8887 Schar is the pathetic one. He invited trouble when shoving your opponent to the ground is so much more effective. He almost let his teammates and manager down lucky for him it's Southampton
Brereton Dias went down like he'd been hit in the face by a sniper. But at no point did the Southampton bench make any attempt to get their medical staff on the pitch to treat their severely injured player, nor did the ref ask them to. EVERYONE knew it was a con job and there was no head injury. Schar should've stayed down, faking a spinal injury, after the initial rugby tackle from behind.
@@R9m54LZX opponent got red he can't get yellow for simulation. But true, his dive is a disgrace... Go fake your ass in other leagues, Prem is for football...
@@paulcarruthers1314 Nope! Diaz is the one getting red for faking, or two yellows bcz of the first deliberate push on Schar from back that's yellow and 2nd yellow for faking. I first thought VAR will dismiss that red card, do obvious....guess there's more to the story behind the curtains...
Today the boys had to dig deep and fight for that win. Couldn’t be more proud. It’s always nervy playing newly promoted sides because you don’t know what to expect. Look at Ipswich today, they played Liverpool off the park in that first half. Proud of the squad, fought for eachother. Krafth, Bruno G, Joelinton & Tino all contenders for man of the match!👍🏼👏🏼🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍
Well done boys! Krafth, Bruno G, Joelinton, Tino were all joint man of the match for me. Isak great assist and Joelinton great finish👏🏼 Pope 10/10 - Englands No.1 🖤🤍
The sending off was a case of six of one and half a dozen of another. Dias instigated the situation when he fouled Shaer. When the heads came together it was as much Diaz as it was Shaer and it was Diaz’s acting that made the referee’s mind up. Dan Burn was livid!
Schar’s experience should have seen him not being goaded and he should have just laughed off the incident of being pushed. That said Diaz theatrics gave the ref no choice and produce a red but and this is a big but, How did var not see what everybody else has seen on watching play backs and that is Diaz pretended that not only was there contact but it was so severe. He brought the game into dispute by lying/cheating. Var was/is supposed to see through all that and he (Diaz) should have got a second yellow for his acting to add to his yellow for the push. But of course the ref could have told both players to grow up and get on with the game.
that RC was extremely undeserved... but seeing as it was held up, diaz should have also gotten a RC for his actions leading up to the confrontation, if that wasnt blatant malicious foul play I dont know what is...
Excellant Save From Nick Pope + Goal From Joelinton + Red Card From Fabian Schar. Newcastle United Winners Against Southampton In The St'James Park Score By 1-0. #NEWSOU. Commentator : Ian Crocker.
as an arsenal fan that was never a red for Schar, the other guy should have gotten a card for the first foul he makes and the simulation after. disgusting, what's the point of VAR ?
officials either don't know what they are doing? or there is something else going on... schar just shoved over for no apparent reason, should be a yellow card for brereton diaz... & then a second yellow for feigning injury to get a fellow professional sent off... pathetic & embarrassing.
The best league in the world coincidentally hosting the worst VAR professionals time and time again? No surprise. Southampton surely isn't Premier league quality if they can't even properly defend a 0-0 scoreline with one extra man on the pitch. Their attackers were not clinical. I hope they go back to 20th place.
That Schar red card is a disgrace, Breneton overacting and no wonders why Schar headbumped, 2 unnesceseary fouls were taken. Southampton players fouled Gordon atleast 3 times when Gordon couldve made a good run. Poor refereeing. But karma came and Big G scored the winner. Worst thing is that Schar will be banned for 2-3 games I think.
Hopefully we'll appeal the red card, reshow the video of zero movement by Schär and maybe it'll be downgraded to a yellow. Or does the fact that VAR "checked" it mean we can't appeal? I don't know half the rules anymore...
Southampton nr 17 should have gotten yellow for that very aggressive tackle and a red card for that obvious dive, but that would require football to be a mature sport. This is why it's difficult to enjoy football even though there's so much good in the sport.
