I was curious this MV without detail of the person behind like others, some say this song composed by Korean DJ 250 , this guys like to compose old song like traditional Korean song etc 😊
oh and side note, they are also having their japanese debut on june! with the b-side 'right now' and the title 'supernatural' so we are gonna be FED this summer 🫣
Hoi fifi! Just want to let you know how much I enjoy seeing you get excited over music that exites me too, all while I’m learning so much about music both sonically and technically from your reactions!
I usually LOVE their songs. They're oftentimes super catchy! But personally for me, this song just wasn't very memorable and might be my least favourite Newjeans song, alongside ASAP and you know what? That's OKAY. The instrumental and vocals are lovely tho. Sometimes not everything is perfect, no matter how much you love the artist. Maybe it's just me, but I listened to bubblegum like 5 times and it's just not sticking in my brain and I haven't been humming the melody or anything. Idk maybe much later it will hit a certain area in my brain and I'll be singing it in the shower unexpectedly. I still look forward to other future Newjeans songs tho. I personally would like to see more wild or experimental concepts because I think Newjeans could pull it off! Like a 2000s gyaru outer space concept with an electropop pluggnb type sound, or a 1990s/early 2000s American/British quirky sitcom concept with an electropop combined with 90s R&B type sound or a retro futuristic basketball concept with an 80s Brooklyn hip hop sound!
When I didn’t know the lyrics before the music video came out I thought in the chorus they said bubble gum two times instead of bubble gum the first time and bubble yum the second time so it really pissed me off and I gave the song a 3/10 but now that I know it’s bubble yum I give it a 8.5/10 it’s crazy how that one misheard word gave me such a big ick lmao
