Sure a 0.3% regret rate would be good to get lower, but it was 3% in the 1970’s so they have been successfully lowering it. Knee surgery regret rate 30% Transition regret rate in the 1970’s 3% Transition regret rate now 0.3% A bit of context that may surprise you. Sure that 0.3% should go down more and better focus on fertility preservation might help there but what you should really be asking is why medical treatments with some of the lowest regret rates in all of medicine are being talked of as a scandal when it’s 100 times lower than knee surgery.

Not difficult at all when you understand that as much as 50% are lost to any sort of follow up, and that detransitioners who have undergone gonadal removal, are still recorded as "trans" on medical documentation, in order to get the synthetic hormones they now will need for the rest of their lives.

Around 3% of people who transition end up detransitioning, that's not a high number at all, whereas the rest of around 97% don't and don't regret it. Oh and statistically the highest reason for detransitioning is pressure from the parents and the surroundings. Statistics should matter to you people. Detrans people need all the support and love they can get but I don't support or condone weaponizing them and their negative experience to demonize and ban healthcare that works for the overwhelming majority, that is just insane.

Did you know that brain dissection studies were showing that Trans women have female neuroanatomy as far back as 1995? Or that the first genetic link to Trans was found in 2005? And that more than 40 have been found since and the genes involved are known to be part of biological sex development mechanisms? Or that there’s more than 20 years of animal studies that discovered many of the genetic and cellular mechanisms involved? That there’s far more evidence that Trans people are born Trans than that Gay people are born Gay when that’s considered so proven to be an uncontroversial statement outside of the most anti gay circles? Ask yourself then, why decades of biological science studies showing that Trans is a biological phenomenon don’t get mentioned in the media. Why those facts are absent from reports like this.
