The cards were stacked against BSB. All those stupid rules set down by the incompetence that was the IBA. Then the incompetent management at BSB itself. Equipment not ready. First the chips in the decoder boxes, no squarriels working, then the battle for movie rights and how much each side massively overpaid. Thing is BSB was the better of the two.
Also with just 5 channels on offer and a lot of money being lost, plus BSB equipment production delays, it was obvious who was going to be the overall winner. Quantity not quality with the superb MAC system won the day.
