I just watched the video from forever ago when you bought the shifter and wheel combo and marcus was learning to shift for the first time, and the next video to play is this where the mans out here on forza doing full on burnouts and shifting pretty well. the progression of this kid made my day
Yes it’s enough for direct drive wheel bases so it would most definitely but good for the csl elite, I own the csl elite and the stand btw it’s a great combo
Yeah, you can't put the shifter at his place if the height of the wheel is too low. Also it may hit your chair even mounted. Now, for mounting next to the wheel, it depends what shifter you have. Mine is Logitech G27 and CAN be mounted next to the wheel (it has the required holes). But is is very close, if you have big hands you will barely touch the shifter when 2nd gear. I use gloves and this happens. If you are smooth it may be fine, but if you drive like crazy it may be a problem.
I don't have either of the products but I believe the DD is built for Direct Drive wheels that produce a lot stronger force feedback so the frame will be sturdier to withstand it. (I don't have or know too much about DD wheels so someone correct me if I'm wrong)
Both can deal with direct drive wheels. DD is not foldable but it has caster wheels in front to easy move it around. DD is also more sturdy because it is not foldable. You find ideal position for you, mount the bolts and it is solid like a tank. Everything is secured with bolts, nothing slides. You can hide under it at earthquake. :)
9:38 If you want a low height position for your wheel you have no room to mount the shifter .... "smart" design, no one tells you that in shit advertising as this video here. He said will decide the height with wheel mounted and soon realize the shifter conflicts with this plan but he did not said a thing about that... There are no real reviews these days, just advertising. Better read one to three stars (negative) reviews on big online shops (I can't say the name here). You will find there all you need to know to make a wise buy. All the downsides and deal breakers are there.
