Still get chills when I watch the ending of this game. The 2013 and 2014 NFC Championships were probably the 2 most important, and intense, games in Seahawks history.
We didn’t win the Super Bowl that year but to be honest at least we went that game was insane. And the one before with sf was just as fucking amazing the tip!!!
I kind of got over it after the falcons chocked even worse versus the patriots. We fucked up one play, while the falcons fucked up the whole second half.
Notice during the ot coin toss, Packers had all there best players on the field and the hawks had punter and field goal kicker, and back up qb out there. Hawks had there best player on the side line making a plan.
Why the eff they called a pass play is Still beyond me. Beast ran the ball the whole way down the field. Then they go to a pass? From the three? I'm in Portland, and I love the Seahawks. But in that Superbowl, they became the Seachickens... Worst play call ever.
@@kenhasibar2624 I would've been ok with a loss if they had given the ball to Lynch and he couldn't get in. I will literally never understand that play call. Even my 10 year old daughter knows to never mention that Super Bowl. I remember going to work the next day and it felt like the whole city was just confused.
@@johnette93 the Patriots had a stout run defense, you fuckin moron. Carroll knew it, which is why he called a pass play against an undrafted rookie (Butler) who just made an incredible defensive play. Keep the menstrual blood flowing, cry babies! 6X Super Bowl Champs!!!!
Im from Australia and was visiting Washington during this game whilst driving from Seattle down to Portland and I was hearing this game on the radio and when they recovered the onside kick it literally felt as if I could hear the roar of the fans from the highway. One of the best games ever for Seattle fans!! (Watching the Seahawks that year converted me into a fan and I now have my whole room back home in Australia, setup with Seahawks gear) GO HAWKS!!
In my country I had to get up at 4 in the morning to watch this game. I was screaming and jumping in silence because I was afraid I would wake up the entrie family and neighbors. lol It was fun to watch.
“4 interceptions and those guys just keep believing in me” that’s a leader. To be able to make that many mistakes and still have your guys stand behind you and believe that you can lead them to victory in that much of an unlikely situation. RW3 is just incredible.
The Seahawks would then proceed to go to the Super Bowl and commit one of the biggest blunders in SB history, then a few years later, the Falcons topped it.
And you know that we run Lynch for the winning TD, the rift between some of the players, like Earl, and Sherm, Marshawn too. They thought Pete didn't give it to Lynch because he didn't want to piss the league off. They would have been forced to give Lynch the MVP of the Super Bowl. And after they fined him for not talking to the press. You have to wonder if things went differently, how many more Super Bowls could we have gone to.
@@jeffgarberding4499 Damn... your comment made me tear up. I remember sitting in the Hawk’s Nest watching the LOB play like gods on the field. I wish it could have lasted for forever.
@@gioboaaa1007 Nothing is worse then blowing the lead that the Falcons had. Also even tough the right play was to run with Lynch the Seattle one was the product of a freaking great defensive play, cause Rus did throw a very decent pass. it was also just one play, not like on the Falcons cases where they had to consistently suck for an entire half to blow such a gigantic lead.
I watched this live with my aunt all those years back, (my aunt is a Packers fan) and the whole time she was gloating and sarcastically telling me how sorry she felt that my team was losing. But I kept ignoring her while saying "The game isn't over yet"... Well we saw how that turned out. xD Love the Seahawks, last season was awesome and I'm so excited for this season. GO HAWKS
profd65, this not even close to the best comeback in history. What about back then, there was football back then too. And there was way better comebacks than this one back then.
One of the greatest NFC Championship ever without question. Legion of Boom was headed to a dynasty surge.......but then the offensive coordinator called for a pass play at the goal line in the Superbowl when they had Beast mode.
Love it, Brings back great memories of watching this game in a small village in northern Vietnam, downloaded the game and stayed up till 4am watching for the unbelievable finish.
Watching the game again and going back over the key plays, that game winning pass to Kearse was clearly a defensive pass interference and he still made the catch so the ref never threw the flag lol. One of the greatest games in NFL history.
Sorry Buffalo, this is the greatest playoff comeback!! I watched it live and it was unbelievable!! Seattle needed so many things, but yet, someway, somehow, Seattle got it!! JUST SO UNBELIEVABLE!! WOW!! 😲
What a team. I was so emotionally invested in these guys when they all played together. Wilson, Lynch, Chancellor, Thomas, Avril, Benette, Sherman, man what a great group. I still think LOB is 1 of the greatest defenses ever.
Getting ready for 23-24 Seahawks season and this gem comes on my feed, my old dog was a puppy back then and when she saw me jump out of my seat for Lynch's TD she started barking like crazy, one of the best days to be a fan, I really thought it would take a miracle for The Pats to stop us after this game, too bad they got that miracle
the only way the hawks can win tonight is if wilson turns back into this wilson in the last 4 mins of this game, keeping read options and using his legs.. havent done it all year niners wouldnt see it coming
He may have lost the 2nd super bowl trip , but he is the QB to face Peyton manning and Tom Brady quarterback legends in back to back Super bowls . he is consecutive in playoff trips .7 years now.
Packers did EVERYTHING wrong from the start of this video to the end. If this game was replayed from 4:50 on there is no way any team could screw this up and not win. Stunning how the Packers screwed this up.
Yep. Not cashing in on the goal line, sliding when you can have a pick six, botching an onside kick, and the defense not getting a key stop killed them
I just don’t get it... after that game, how... patriots did not deserve to win, we had to fight to go to the super bowl... they didn’t, I still just don’t get it, but I guess that’s life...
it was not the peak....the peak is yet to come.... little children say stupid things sometimes, but it's not their fault...they just don't know any better
Look where we are now. We about to peak again. Because russell is a winner and he is going to go down as one of the greatest if not the greatest in another 15 years when he hangs up his cleats
I still tear up watching this. I did about 500 pushups during the last 5 minutes and during the overtime period. I gained strength from that comeback. It reminded me that nothing can defeat me. I’ve overcome a lot of obstacles since then.
I live in Boston and I was the only Seahawks fan watching this game in the pub... Oh and that Superbowl game too. I lived because we didnt run the ball
The packs stopped playing after the Burnett int clay and everyone were already celebrating thinking they had it in the bag and Seattle never stopped and took all the momentum
It's 2019 and I'm still watching this game. The greatest comeback ever. Know Seattle go beat dallas they should make all the Seahawks watch this film before any playoffs game
One of the best NFC games ever! Seeing Rodgers pissed off face still makes my day 🤣To bad we didn’t win back to back SB! But I’m smelling a run for it this year! Miss this old team! 💚💙
I live here in Wisconsin now, family is from here, been a Hawks fan since Largent & Zorn. Packer fans could give two sh*$# about the Hawks back in the day, now whenever they lose an important game against the Hawks, they refer to the Hasselbeck misbabble, usually what cry babies do. Now the Pecker fans hate the Hawks with a passion, and believe me, Packer fans are brutal. They will dish it but definitely can’t take it. I was a Packer fan, until I spent time with these Packer fans.
Open Wheel Is The Best And You Know It. I hear ya. I’m not from Wisconsin. I grew up a military brat, so we moved around a lot. About 2nd grade is when we moved to Seattle, and that’s when I kinda saw my first NFL team and that was the Hawks. I have rooted for the teams in the towns I lived in, but always made the Hawks the team I backed. My dad and his family are from Wisconsin, which is how I ended up here in the majority of my adult life, and I didn’t hop the wagon to the Great Packer nation. Can’t do it. So, I really never belonged to a fan base, but I hear ya.
I fell asleep on the couch during the third quarter thinking it was over . By buddy woke me up saying the Seahawks were going to the Superbowl ! Great !
I loved it when they won the Super Bowl, but, I placed this come back game quite up there with the best. Awesome comeback. Always teary eyes when i watched it again and again and again. Go Hawks.
I don't give a shit about a superbowl, I like my team, I like football, I like when my team plays good football, not every play goes your way same as life, celebrate the good plays.
This game ranks right up there with the GREAT college game in the Fiesta Bowl when lightly regarded Boise State came back against the mighty Oklahoma on a series of great and quirky plays..Can watch both over and over and neither loses a thing.
I had to have a boil lanced on my "upper" thigh, near my sack, today. I tried to pop it myself, but no go. I thought the doctor was going to get sick. What came out looked like green mayo and smelled like cat food..
On the 2-point conversion, Russell Wilson basically threw it up in the air like a hail mary. If Clinton-Dix actually grabs the ball, that's an open field and an interception returned for 2 points, Packers lead 21-20.
As was noted that rule was not implemented then so no he could _not_ have. Last season was the first season to have that rule. This game had a truck full of "if-come-maybe" for the Packers. They just tricked this game away. Plain and simple.
This is what I call giving Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy a TASTE of their OWN Medicine AWESOME COMEBACK! Too bad they couldn't do it on the road in 2010 against the Bears in Chicago, 2012 against the Falcons in Atlanta and in 2015 against the Panthers in Charlotte, NC
There's always this season, I have a feeling this season will be our best yet. All of our best players are below the ages of 30, this Seattle team will be a force through out the next 10 seasons.
I love how Joe Buck at 1:40 says that Morgan Burnett "wisely went to the ground" on that last interception. That was probably one of the worst decisions by a player in playoff history
I was at a bar in San Fran around a bunch of niner fans. Of course they were cheering on GB. After Wilson threw his last interception I stood up and said we still got this. The looks on their faces when I said that till the moment we won was priceless.
THIS right here should be shown to them again as inspiration to get better and win Superbowl 52. It was one of the most nerve-racking and cherishable moments of my life no matter what happened 2 weeks after that... we all know ... but new year, superbowl season #gohawks
Wilson could of walked into the endzone with that QB run in SB XLIX and won back to back SB's, fuck that coaching lmao! It's on like donkey Kong next year fellas, Seahawks are scary this year, more than ever.
