@@Woodshadow I thought the whole show was subpar. The prerecorded bits had some chuckles, but the live sketches were mostly bland. I really miss those who have left the cast in the last few years. The current cast has too many people who aren't stepping up and PERFORMING. They're just reading lines and looking bored.

SNL hasn't been funny for 20 years, nothing but woke BS, Lorne Michaels should be ashamed of himself.

Oh, come off your high horse. Saturday Night Live has been on the air for nearly 50 years now. They've had worse sketches than what you described. I've seen season six, when Jean Doumanian dropped the ball on the show. I've seen season 11, when not even Robert Downey Jr. as a cast member could make it funny. I've seen season 20, when Norm Macdonald was the only good thing about that season. I've tolerated Fallon's cracking up, the emptiness of the show without Bill Hader, Fred Armisen, Kristen Wiig, and Andy Samberg. I've worried about the show's future when Trump was in the White House and when COVID hit. One measly restaurant sketch that wasn't all that funny doesn't compare to the other bad sketches SNL has had for half a century, so stuff it.

I also think these amazing viewership numbers (by 2024 standards) for the NFL was helped a lot by 2 other huge factors. 1)The Suspension of almost all Scripted Entertainment Shows caused by the long Hollywood based Actors and Writers Strike. 2)In almost every state in America, the legalization of sports gambling. Plus going forward I am expecting the NFL to schedule a Christmas Day every season permanently. Even if it’s falls middle of the week when regular season games are not typically played ie Tuesday or Wednesday.
