It's gotten progressively worse every year. And why I don't watch as many games. Hell is why sports in general is down. The officiating across all sports has turned to total shit.
I understand protecting Qb’s as they are essentially standing in waiting to get hit but they’re football players too. These roughing the passers are getting out of fucking hand
I think the taunting calls are worse, at least the roughing the passer calls are to protect players safety (which ultimately does make the games better not having a bunch of injured franchise QB's). But the taunting calls are just making the league soft, it's a competitive game that gets emotional. Sterilizing it takes away from the game
Taylor Heinekie regularly gets body slammed and drilled into the ground. There is 0 consistency in the penalty calling - because the NFL is rigged. Stop watching it.
What an absolute fail from that entire ref squad of that Bears Vikings game. Are these guys ever held accountable? Or is every coach and player just told to shut up or get fined if they say anything after the game?
They probably didnt get in shit for it and probably made a killing because they probably bet on the game and the NHL dont give a fuck about refs betting on games their reffing in
Still think refs should have to attend a post-game presser just like the players and coaches. I don't think fining or firing refs off of a few missed calls is necessary, but let the threat of public humiliation sit with these guys for a few weeks and I bet you these awful calls would magically get cleaned up.
The dont so that specifically because they make dumb ass calls and theyd be on the mic defending their dumb ass calls, which is more likely to lead to being fired. Just look at notorious ufc refs like Mario yamasaki that probably would still be working if he justs shut his mouth and didnt defend himself to the press lol
It seems plainly obvious that the NFL and the referees are calling or not calling penalties to to help certain teams win. And it is getting worse every year.
John, that is exactly what happens, allowing the officials to control the outcome of certain games. There is more than one player (Super Bowl players) coming out and saying this is happening, to where the league does what it can to have certain teams win.
I’m still in shocked how that the referees didn’t call the DPI on the rams player now I know how the saints fans feel about the no DPI against the rams in the playoffs
At this point, I feel like we should start choosing favorite ref teams. The refs usually average more yards and points than either team playing anyway.
The crazy thing about that 1st one is that referee group calls the most DPI which just makes this blatant biased because they normally call this and than some
The non calls are sometimes even worse. As a Browns fan I can't count how many times Myles Garrett has been in a choke hold or dragged down without a flag. It seems very obvious to me that refs are paid to alter games.
This video proves a point. There are teams that can get away with anything and others that will get nit-picked into losing (Remember Super Bowl XL). The Packers could do no wrong, but if there's a young, tough, scrappy QB, they will NEVER get the PF-Roughing called when they get blown up. For prima donna QBs, all it takes is a hand brushing past their helmet.
Absolutely. As a Cowboys fan, I see it with Dak. As a Steelers hater, I've seen it for nearly two decades with Big Ben. Those two never get the baby calls, because of their size and strength. Total BS.
Regarding the sideline interference, when the play is over and I run into someone coming off the sideline we usually have a laugh and we go about our business
Shitty officiating, they miss an obvious call. Player gets mad: “Welp, guess we better call unsportsmanlike conduct.” It’s literally like my day job of dealing with kindergarten kids. 🤦🏻♂️
Bodyweight on the QB needs to be reversed, at the very least in terms of 'driving the QB into the ground'. That ruling has ruined so many fantastic defensive plays, and it makes no sense. "Tackle the man without using your body weight at all, in fact if you use your body (which determines how desirable you are as a lineman, by the way) then you'll give up 5-15 yards at a time. Now get out there and have fun!" Give me a break, NFL
It is getting to the point where it's more beneficial for defenders to be a violent as possible when they get to a quaterback because they are gonna get flagged no matter what.
This is embarrassing. And it’s getting worse every week. The NFL and the officials are insulting us at this point. Refusing to admit the problem. “Shut up and watch the game.” It feels the same as our political climate right now
I remember there used to be MAYBE one or 2 calls every couple of games that were bs. Now its literally every game, the new rules and the officiating is absolutely dog shit
All of those were indeed horrible calls, except for the Chiefs/Chargers one. To me, Mahomes wasn't 'throwing' the ball. It was slipping out of his hand as he was ABOUT to throw his hand forward for an actual pass. So, to me, that was a fair fumble call. Also, the final one was 100% unsportsmanlike conduct. You can cry all you want, but pointing and mocking someone is taunting, and you can't do that. All the rest, though, I agree were pretty awful.
YEAH because Patrick Mahomes is a NOBODY, the NFL is not trying to "protect" the "Baby Goat" or anything. The NFL is trying to Crown Mahomes as the NEW Goat but the NFL would give Brady an Incomplete pass while not giving the same call to Mahomes!?!?!? Stop Hating on Brady just because he has accomplished more than Mahomes ever will, HELL Brady Accomplished more in his first 4 years as a starter in the NFL than Mahomes. Brady won 3 Superbowls in his first 4 years as a Starter.
@@glitzyx4x852 HAHAHA not only does Brady live in your head for free, but he also lives in your Soul for Free, the fact that you hate Brady and yet he continues to go out and break every NFL QB record and Win the Superbowl year after year must kill a little bit of you inside and that brings me such joy. Enjoy your joyless life. 🤡
We all want the same thing from the refs. Consistency. Set a precident, and stick to it. We're tired of seeing teams have to play against two opponents. We're tired of not knowing what a PI or PF are. You're going to lose your fan base. I know I've got one foot out the door.
Look on the back of an NFL game ticket. They're registered as an entertainment company not a sports company. They can do this so they can affect the outcome of games to maximize "entertainment value" without fear of litigation from sports betters/fans/advertisers/media.
Last one is ridiculous, pointing like that after a touchdown hardly gets called in college and they're strict as hell on stuff like that. Been a weird year for NFL officiating
I came here sore about terrible calls against the Seahawks, but after watching the whole video, I see we're not the only ones with TERRIBLE calls. Refs must be made accountable for their blatant mistakes.
it’s funny how a few qbs are almost always the beneficiary in horrible reffing. tom brady and aaron rodgers are two examples, with mahomes being an example of the exact opposite
Why does it feel like we need the nfl to do away with refs and just let the announcers call things. The announcers seem to always get it right in my opinion. The refs are destroying the nfl
If it doesn't already... the NFL should have a Rule that a Coach can "protest' the game for bad Referee calls. I believe I saw that ONCE... years ago. "This game will continue UNDER PROTEST!" These OBVIOUS BAD CALLS... means either the Refs are BLIND... or the games are RIGGED!!!
