I think JJ McCarthy is not a top 20 prospect. With that being said, if Patriots want McCarthy and don’t want to draft him at 3, I love the idea of trading with the Vikings. Trade outside the top ten to get McCarthy at the right value. Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr are safer picks in the second. That still means they are competing for a starting job. I just don’t think either one is worthy of a first round pick.
