I would've lost total respect for Terry if he said anything else. One of the teammates he played the closest with paid the biggest price for all of this.
Terry was right, the NFL tried to hide and push this under the rug, it was not until outside sources started to take notice. What was going on with Mike Webster was so sad, that movie concussion with Will Smith was good.
Mike Davitt the NFL had to be told that their former players were sick from getting their brains bashed in every week. Not one play in football does not require some type of contact.
I thought I was the only person who thinks they need to increase the roster...thanks Howie....I also believe there should be other new rules for example...play players like pitchers..protect an arm how about ahead...limited snaps per game per player or if you play one week you don't play again for like three weeks period..take a nasty hit tour out the game and done...we need to change the game from the ground up.
Sound good 👍 terry hopefully they'll really take this (Serious) really (Love) the game not seeing brothers suffer in the long stretch (R.I.P) Junior Seau
It's important for players to be completely aware of concussion and the issues surrounding it. Especially the recent research suggesting multiple concussions leading to chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
Dude I had several concussions when I played High school and rec football. I am scared to death about my future now and I am only 22. CTE is real and it could creep up into my life at any moment. There was a BBC article not to long ago about the danger of ALL contact sports for youth athletes. Time and genetics will determine my fate unfortunately.
+Captain Bryce don't worry about it. Atleast you stopped at an early age. Long term is bad. Especially at the college and professional level because it gets more intense. You play and practice more.
its always that way terry....after....they had been discussing putting an ILS at tri-state airport for some time. though it needed for the mountain airport...but hemmed and hawed...then the MARSHALL plane crash happened, and so of course they put one in....after.
You wanna know something if fox cared about this why didn’t they be against adding another week in the season they subtracted 1 week in preseason but added one more week in the regular season like I don’t know doesn’t that seem off I respect terry on what he said tho
Doctors are not independent. They are paid by the team.Advised by the team and get orders by the team. That why its called TEAM DOCTOR.I am a doctor myself.I have heard stories about NFL even in the 2010s.If the team wants to make a player play-he is going to play no matter what.
Why don’t they go back to those leather helmets and see if they are as “man” to bump their heads against each other. I wonder whether rugby has the concussion problem. They call American Football “Rugby for poofs” because of all the protective gear they use.
@MsBryanfreeman You've obviously never played the sport. Do you have any idea how many hours those men put in? Do you know how smart you have to be to memorize hundreds of plays and be able to recognize what your opponent is doing and know how to counter it? There are NFL players who play on talent alone, but the vast majority are incredibly smart men who also have a god given talent.
@@johnw8984 that’s like saying anything’s easy if you memorize it. Difference is you have to execute what you memorized in a split second. Don’t act like anyone can do it or everyone would be playing professional sports and be making millions. You have an 8 yr old mindset you think the world is black and white everything is as it seems, everything is so simple. Your parents and teachers failed you in every way possible.
One has to determine what is important in all of this. The fame and prestige during the glory days of the sport? Or, the suffering and pain that follows from the accumulative effects that results in the disease CTE. It makes sense for the NFL to come clean and use their billions to redefine the sport instead of trying to protect their emperor.
Watching football is going to be like watching gladiators. Pretty soon is going to be pay view. Watch your favorite player turn into a CTE victim. Maybe the sponsors will care hahaha!!
hahahha, NFL has always denied the risks of head injuries in playing football. CTE kills 90 plus percent of retired professtional players. think about iron mike
