Unfortunately as a Pats fan, this was the pinnacle of the rivalry. Anyone whoever tells me that New England always gets breaks, I will hit the ceiling.
I know right, The colts got the big breaks in this game, especially with that b.s pass interfience on ellis hobbs. I was hoping that challenge on the jabar gaffney touchdown would have cost them the game cause they lost a timeout.
Did you forget how the Patriots held on every pass play in that 2003 game against the Colts and it literally led to the league telling the refs to emphasize that the next season? The next time you hate a ticky-tacky PI call, you can thank the 2003 Patriots for that. That game resonates today with the league emphasizing that. The next season was nothing but PI/defensive holding calls BECAUSE of that game. Look it up.
@@jeremyn2626 No doubt. You’re right about that game. I don’t complain about calls because ticky tacky call happen in all Sports. But, I have a question, how do you explain 20-3 the next year? As Tedy Bruschi says, “you wanna change the rules change ‘em, and we win”.
It's hilarious to say a team like the Patriots could've or should've won more, but they easily could've won 10 SB's. If they win this game, they beat Chicago. Before people bring up Eli or Foles, you can't tell me with a straight face REX GROSSMAN would've beaten this team.
I love how that AFC game in 2003 - the Patriots act like they were better - but THAT game is why the refs call so much PI and defensive holding today. If you recall, after the Patriots literally held on EVERY pass play in that game, the league told the refs to make an emphasis on that the next year. I love how people forget that, just like they forget that the late 90s Broncos cheated to get to a Super Bowl. The next season, PI and holding calls were up. Geez, I wonder why? GEE, I FUCKING WONDER WHY?
I grew up in the in the area, the Patriots were almost as bad as the devil in our house. When Marlon intercepted the ball to end the game, we ran out in the street banging pots and pans together. People had stopped their cars on the shoulder of the road and were hugging.
