CTE probably isn't the sole cause of these crimes, but it clearly has to be a contributing factor. The documentary on Aaron Hernandez seems to demonstrate there were a lot of factors leading to his criminal behavior, for instance. That said, you do have to wonder how many men who played football in high school & university are walking around with CTE affecting their behavior to a degree.

There’s probably hundreds if not thousands of living high school, college and NFL players past and present who have it. Heck there’s probably people from other sports like hockey, combat sports, rugby and other contact sports who have it as well.

The NFL needs to have a VA type system to not only do check ups on retired players but research ways to treat them or at least keep them stable. I love this sport but it's sad to see that this is sometimes the outcome from contact
@JohnDoe-fx9eb
@JohnDoe-fx9eb Год назад
Why? The NFL get paid millions to run a pig skin up and down a field. They don't put their lives on the line like our military. Players live in mansions and drive high end cars, abuse women and I'm sure most are on some sort of illegal drug. Got simps like you worshipping these high paid thugs. Who do you expect will pay for this VA-style program of yours? The hard working low waged citizens? The NFL organization have enough money to pay for it.
@GW4PCITY
@GW4PCITY Год назад
@@JohnDoe-fx9eb that's my point, they have the means to do it. And I'm not comparing athletes to soldiers. I'm just stating that the NFL needs to have something in place for it's players who have significant brain injuries. Besides, there are thugs and women abusers in the military too. And guess who's sending them to fight false flag wars on their behalf?... 1%ers with huge mansions and high end cars.

That "Not Guilty" verdict was one of the craziest miscarriages of justice ever. He was so clearly guilty, Yet he got off by playing the "Cops framed the black guy" card. Played it perfectly actually. @Hyenasandtwincats
@Hyenasandtwincats 4 месяца назад
Yeah, miscarriages of justice happen a lot to the innocent. That OJ “not guilty” verdict happened because of all the “not guilty” verdicts involving cops and whites who killed Blacks and other POC with impunity for eons and got off on the fact that they simply could because we were deemed inferior wild animals. Emmit Til was just one sad case of said incidents. Not to mention that tensions were running high after the “can't we all just get along” guy screaming this as though he didn't understand his position in America. OJ didn't play anyone; it was understood that he was guilty. Some people were just indifferent to the outcome of the trial. And that's just what it was.
@skingboy123
@skingboy123 4 месяца назад
The evidence clearly shows oj did it and I am by no means saying oj is innocent or right for what he did. But this is one case where white people can see how we black people feel when they get off for committing a obvious crime to black people like the Rodney king beating or better yet all the way back to the slave days. The race card was definitely one of the main things cochran used to break open the case but it clearly wasn’t the only one. Sad story all around but I can’t lie cochran did a hell of a job because at the end of the day he did what his job tells him to do and that’s get his client acquitted

@@Hyenasandtwincats yea I know he did it for sure but I don’t think it was meant to get white people back I just believe Cochran and his defense team was able to capitalize on the few mistakes the other team by made while mixing in the race card cuz remember this was not too long after the Rodney king beatings so back people was already feeling like is this bs? And Cochran executed on that perfectly

And I appreciate the fact that you would bring up possibilities of CTE. However, though I do not agree that every single issue is a CTE incident. there are just evilness in this world and just because there are professional athletes involved in this, does not make them immune to corruption and evil. It's interesting because, as you're surely implying, it's all complete and utter bullshit used by smooth brains to defend criminals. Then again, the types of faguettes that typically defend such scumbags are also the type to never take responsibility for their own actions and blame everyone else.

@kalof3l51
@kalof3l51 4 месяца назад
Brain disease doesn’t necessarily mean you are stupid. Most assume brain disease means you lose all or most common sense but that’s not true. Most people know what they are doing is wrong as well but can’t stop themselves. A computer can tell you something is wrong but that does not mean the computer fixes it. I know that’s not the best example but your brain controls every last thing in your body including your personality. If the portion of your brain that affects personality is damaged but not other parts then you could be the smartest human on the planet able to solve every single math problem and also be an angry killer for no reason and it’s true that it’s really not all you. The actions are atrocious but what’s just as sad as the deaths caused is the fact that this disease was not something that can be over come… these guys are victims as well and that’s hard to accept and most won’t, but true none the less.

If we start opening the door for one murder case everyone will say they have CTE. That will hurt a lot for the people that do have it.

it's not an excuse but it's definitely a contributing factor. some of the main symptoms of CTE are impulse control problems and aggression.

@@speakmorehoe Which is probably controlled by a certain part of the brain. If they could concentrate on keeping even that part of the brain from injury it would be a start. Maybe a 12 yr limitation would help like flag FB grade 3-9, start tackle 10th grade, 4 yrs college w/NIL money and 5 yrs max NFL.

I'm no expert, but Phillip Adams & Aaron Hernandez both had CTE. Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. It's so hard to diagnose when the person is living. Only after an autopsy will doctors find damage. Many more NFL players have CTE and no one knows about it. Unfortunately maybe more players will have problems before things get better.

Many doctors think CTE can cause men to become murderously aggressive, and football players get hit in the head a lot and they're already trained to be aggressive like Doberman pinchers so it's not too surprising really.
