If it's any consolation, the fans here in Houston would be more than happy for the Ravens' families to come down with them and spend Christmas here. If nothing else, the weather should be a bit better here than in Baltimore that time of year...

If I was the Baltimore Ravens, I would actually consider taking legal action against the NFL not only for forcing them to play another Yuletide game, but one that less people will watch but also deny them pay for it. This sounds like something that should be illegal. Plus, how much do you want to bet that Mike North used AI to make the schedule?

They screwed up the whole schedule - the rest disparity this season between teams and 10 (!) different teams playing 3 times in 10 games

EDIT: The crown of the series called "Dumb Scheduling Decisions". The NFL needs to do _at least_ 1 of these 2 things: 1. Swap the 12/21 and 12/25 games. You can't just swap home stands because of multi-year scheduling rules. You need to swap the actual games in order to rectify this home site oversight. 2. Move the Christmas games to 12/27. Yes, they'll compete with Bowl Games. Give Netflix half of their money back as damages.

Bad news for Ravens players? But good news for fans who want to watch a fun team. Maybe the Ravens should play every year on Christmas and be America's Christmas team--like how the Lions and Cowboys are our Thanksgiving Day teams.

I don't think you can look at putting what was supposed to be a good team that turns out to be mid in prominent spots as "retrospect." Every season has a team that falls short of expectations and you can't always prepare for that. As for this mess with the Ravens, this was likely an honest mistake. The NFL needs to make sure to catch this kind of thing next time, but the more egregious error was putting games on Christmas Day after claiming it wouldn't. The NFL hasn't seen a dollar it isn't willing to chase.

Scheduling is incredibly complex. Maybe the ravens won’t play on Christmas Day for the next couple of years. The biggest crybabies on the planet are nfl fans when the schedule is released.

I keep wondering if the NFL used AI in some part to make up the schedule. Maybe it sounds nuts, but the schedule is pretty damn nuts. As far as I can recall, it's been awhile since there were several glaring big-time goofs with a schedule but the 2024 one seems to have some real doozies.
