And he was statistically - that is part of the reason he set the all time playoff records for passes over 30 yards and 50 yards, yards per attempt, and yards per completion, led the NFL in yards per completion, produced the 2nd most efficient rushing attack in 30 years, along with leading the NFL in passer rating in the 4th quarter.
I'll never understand why Tebow, no doubt a fabulous athlete, decided to utilize lousy footwork, unworthy of a HS QB, and TERRIBLE throwing mechanics, as opposed to a fluid and athletic throwing motion to deliver a football on time and accurately. It made no sense, why would he choose to be so bad !?
Sigh....looking back at these days, this show was the ONLY good thing about TIM TEBOW starting in the NFL. It always AMAZED me to think how many people wanted to THINK he was something special as a football player and WhY? Because he prayed in public? 99 percent of the NFL does that. Because he praises god publicly? 99 percent of the NFL does that as well! Probably a big portion of people reading this...I PRAISE god regularly in public. Do Tebow supporters realize that 88 percent of the country is Christian?? So basically you all are saying that 88 percent of the ENTIRE population are good enough to START AT QB in THE NFL? This Tebowmania thing was the most befuddling disgusting thing that happened to sports because it put a black mark on what the talent it actually takes to play at that level.
No Tebow was speciel because he took over the worst team in football, with 1½% chance of making the playoffs and took them on their longest winning streak for 6 years and their first playoff win in 6 years. He set Broncos records in his first game, had the best rookie passing game in Broncos history in his 2nd game, set NFL all time records over the first 3 games, an all time record in his fourth, he scored 29TDs in 16 games and transformed the Broncos. Those were the reasons he was a special football player, and the religitos nutcases and their counterparts are the reasons hes career did not continue. It is sick that Jimmi Clausen with a 1-13 record stayed in NFL twice as long, and that speaks to how sick the Tebow hater/lover cults are. I loved Tebow as our QB in Denver - ask yourself why you are here writing negative comments - why are you not concentrating on Christian Ponder, Blaine Gabbert.... videos
If you seriously think Tim wasn't special, then I don't believe you are even thinking rationally. He took over one of the bottom feeders if not the bottom feeder in the league turned their season around and shut out a team full of HOFers. The problem with Tebow came that he was in fact, too special. He had a revolutionary skill set that nobody wanted to take a chance with. He was ahead of his time
@@youdontseeanoldmanhavinatw4904 The only reason people say this bs is because of all the hype that was around him. You and I both know that if he was a normal player off the bench who did what he did nobody would even be arguing it. He wasn't the greatest passer (though he wasn't God awful like people try to claim either), he wasn't good at reading defenses, he wasn't a typical qb who was the best in any of those conventional categories. But he was clutch, and in some ways I would argue his energy alone won games. So as far as the normal checklist for quarterback, no he didn't fair well on that degree. As a football player who made big plays, was ruthless, put up numbers, unique, and won? Absolutely. At the end of the day that's what a qb is, a leader.
