Ask everyone who plays with or has played with him, 99% of people will say he's a great guy and a great leader. People who say otherwise have literally no idea what they're talking about. As a packers fan I completely agree. The defender had the right to hit him since he didn’t slide, and Bennett wanted to stand up for his QB, and the flag was correctly called on Bennett. I have no issues with anything on that play

Definetly a clean hit but almost feels like it shouldn't be, I mean first down or not Rogers was clearly going to the ground, the play was about to be over and he still got hit (thankfully not hard the defender clearly wasn't trying anything dirty), so I can also understand why the Packers player would want to "defend" his QB, just one of those awkward plays where even when its clean in the rule book it still has the potential to ruffle some feathers so to speak in game.

Again, Rogers _could_ have given himself up with a slide to avoid potential injury but voluntarily chose not to. If he started sliding and the rusher showed no signs of trying to minimize contact with the QB, then yeah sure, throw a flag and tell him off. But you seriously can’t blame a guy for trying to tackle a QB when he’s running so close to the end zone. The defense shouldn’t be harassed and berated for doing there job. After all, Rodgers isn’t some little kid playing against adults. He’s a grown man playing a contact sport that offers him the chance to slide to avoid getting slammed and tackled, but he willingly refused this and opted to charge headfirst into the end zone…
