This video is about crazy, hilarious and just downright stupid NFL moments over the years that had us saying "what are you doing?" and wondering how it could even possibly happen.
As a Browns fan, I’m very disappointed to be left out of this video. We should have dominated screen time. These all simply look like good plays for us.
I wasn't even looking at my screen at 0:51 but when I heard that: "IIIntercepted at the goal line!!!" I knew exactly which game that was. The tears outnumbered the raindrops in Seattle that day.
I love that clip because of Al Michaels. he had that real disappointment dad tone and you could see Russell Wilson's face after the play like he knew it was a stupid thing to do.
It's actually sad really. Dude wasn't an allstar by any means but he was a decent player....and he'll always be remembered for that boneheaded mistake. Oh well...he still lived a rich life and worked in his dream job.
@FAITHFUL as a Colts fan I'm going to say "don't remind me lol" but honestly that Patriots interception against Seahawks in SuperBowl that decided the game haunts me a little when I watch it
krytonian dude You're right. Griff wasn't even supposed to be in there. The OC told him to go in at the last second without telling him the play or what to do. He definitely shouldn't have snapped it but yeah
Since it was 4th down, the play was designed to make it look like as if the field-goal team was getting off the field in order to catch the defense offsides.
The whole time watching that live I thought “wow we might win another Super Bowl!” I thought Marshawn would take it and then he would go all beast mode on them Patriots, and then it happened. The pass of the century. The pass that changed the sea hawks for the worse. The pass that will haunt us forever. And we never played good enough since.
Which game do you refer to in your comment? Not a nfl fan but I see a lot of people talked about seahawk not running and I have no clue about it 😂😂 Sorry for my bad English 😀
Carroll was haunted by 4th and 2 in the 2006 Rose Bowl. He didn't want that to happen again, so he tried to make sure that was not going to be a possibility, unfortunately Malcolm Butler brought the nightmare back for Carroll.
I never understood why people consider it a bad play. For the time, it wasn't a bad call, and the odds are much, much, much greater the Seahawks score than turn it over. I guess Seattle fans cannot accept the Patriots player made a great play.
I absolutely love the punters reaction after knocking his appointment to the ground. Absolutely hilarious 🤣 and not to mention after the punt, playing possum
They ran it because Pete Carrol loves good-christian-boy Wilson and he wanted him to have the game winning TD over Marshawn who gives 1 word answers in press conferences. Thats legitimately why. Beastmode had enough of Pete and that squad after that.
6:16 cracks me up so hard hearing him say "whattttt theeee heccck" -- wish I knew what they were doing here maybe a fast screen to the back of that group lined up right.
According to the punter, that play was never supposed to get snapped if the right thing doesn't happen. I think they are trying to fake a substitution and get the opponents to have 12+ on the field. This didn't happen so they were supposed to just take delay of game and punt but the guy that ends up as the center was a sub for a guy that got injured earlier in the game and had never practiced that play. Oops.
We actually used that play in pop warner 20 plus yrs ago. There's supposed to be a couple of receivers on the other side (hell) and the quarterback is supposed bro be in shotgun. The other side is called heaven. There are multiple options for the quarterback. The play causes confusion. Granted I know these are pros but it did work in popwarner and I've seen it work in college
I swear they say Billachek is a genius but I just think most other coaches don't use common sense. Nothing paints that picture better then Billachek declining the 5 men that weren't on the line of scrimmage penalty.
He's in their heads. That's why they obsess over accusations of cheating - they're scared of what he and Brady does on the field, and they psyche themselves into doing something foolish.
Let’s be honest here guys Vince Wilfork had nothing to do with the Mark Sanchez Butt Fumble. Mark Sanchez ran directly up his own lineman’s Ass and Vince wilfork wasn’t moving the lineman at all. Mark Sanchez will forever be remembered for this.
Rumor has it they wanted Russel Wilson to throw the game winning touchdown pass so he (or the catcher) would look good for the press. Oh how pride ruins all.
Allen Long Its because they wanted 3 chances to get into the end zone instead of 2. There was 20 seconds left and they had 1 timeout. If they ran it once and didn't get in, they would use their timeout. Then when they ran it again the clock would run out and they would lose. But if you pass and it's incomplete then the clock stops, and you still have 2 opportunities afterwards. If Malcolm Butler never picked off that ball, people would either forget about Pete Carroll's call or call it smart clock management.
People are still crying over this geez move Tf on already shit happens it was a great game down to the wire teams make mistakes my pats did their part not their fault Pete made Wilson throw it he should have known better
After that comment for Richard Sherman Talking about stafford this makes me happy lol 😂😂 I love that face he makes when his qb kindly gave the ball to the pats
It was only second down and a TD makes it a 3 point game with time on the clock and 2 NE time outs, and lord knows Brady doesnt need a lot of time to drive down field. Pete wanted to kill more time before he had Lynch punch it in. People say that the playcall was at fault but really the fault should lie on Wilson for forcing that throw and on the receiver for making no play on that ball whatsoever. Dude pretty much sat back and watched Butler grab that ball.
ChainsGone2012 Wilson drops back, holds onto the ball, and ends up throwing it away out the back of the end zone. Easy way to kill 4-6 seconds which can can give Brady one less play in the long run. The call made sense, Wilson just fucking blew it, he probably wanted the game-winner and forced an iffy pass.
My favorite Football fails are always the ones where something goes wrong in the play discussion/execution, and all the players leave just the QB and Center alone to get annihilated while the team watches in confusion.
Lil Bake I can. That year they had the worst goal line run offense on the season I think they were like 1-20 or some shit like that so yea that’s prolly why they didn’t run it.
@@buhllisticz7762 so naive... that play was called behind politics. The NFL did not want Marshawn lynch to be the hero. Any idiot would have the brains to let "beast mode" run the ball at the 2 yard line on second down, come on now...
Oh gosh! I bet it was more difficult for the Patriots to keep a straight face on after it happened. The shocking part to that whole thing to is that Chuck still kept his job.
I remember the 1st time seeing Mark Sanchez cause that fumble, n it never ceases to make laugh everytime I see it again. It's like a joke that never gets old LMFAO😆😆😆😆😆😆
@Jake Shattuck yea because announcers are always right...he stood him up and maybe moved him back a foot or so but not enough to make enough of a difference for Sanchez to hit him as squarely as he did
No one ever realizes that they weren’t ever supposed to hike the ball. It was a trick formation to try and get the defense to jump offsides. The guy who was supposed to snap was out injured, so Whalen had to snap. He had never practiced this formation and didn’t know he WASNT supposed to snap the damn ball. I’m a colts fan and I’ll still admit I shit a brick when I saw this live
Ryan S it doesn't matter whether they were supposed to hike the ball or not. They lined up 2 yards off the line of scrimmage. It was a trick play that only duped their own team, and did so twice over. Easily one of the worst trick plays in nfl history. Then again, colts just threw another game with an almost equally boneheaded decision in OT last week to Houston. I don't care what Reich says and whether or not the players were behind him on it, that was a horrible call. If he was serious about going for the win he would have taken the timeout after the previous play, preserved some 40+ seconds on the clock to attempt a game-winning drive. Even if Colts had converted that fourth down the odds of winning with 24 seconds left, 1 timeout (after burning one trying to draw Texans offsides) from their own 47 was low. Such a half-assed attempt.
I only vaguely remember the Seahawks goal line interception, and I'm wondering if there were people saying he was hit too early and that it was pass interference? At full speed it looked like it to me. If not it must be one of the most perfectly timed hits ever.
VlogerBros dude there are 32 NFL teams and THREE of these messed up plays were Seahawks -- it might as well be half. Plus their passing on that play counts for like 8. What the heck were they thinking
Uhh Two of those were seahawks.... one was the pass tho other was a missed field goal by both teams... (all game long btw) the other was a late hit by the rams punter.

@Jake Shattuck no it was to get NE to make a last second substitute to get them with too many players on the field but it never happened but the center wasn't supposed to snap the ball they were supposed to take the delay of game.
I understand the kickers missing it. They have soooo much pressure on them, not only the defense but to win the game. I would be upset at first but then I'd understand later
They're not robots, don't expect them to act like one under pressure. And no, they shouldn't make millions of dollars to make a kick, but I don't think some people realize how important athletes minds can really be. You can really psych yourself out, even if you have the physical capability.
As a Seahawks fan, all of my worst memories exist inside of State Farm Stadium. The goal line interception in SB XLVIX. The 6-6 tie. The death of the Legion of Boom in 2017 in a road game against the Cardinals. And we always get a ton of injuries in every road game against the Cards. Just fuck that place.
