Honestly it would've made more sense if Marcus had his mob boys hindering you during the final race. Felt pretty off seeing it literally just be you vs him when he clearly has the power to call his boys up. Imagine if they would've followed you into the train tracks and you see them get hit by those trains you dodge. Or better yet, imagine if you never got forced to the train tracks at all if you were ahead of Marcus at that point and instead you both were battling in the alternate route roads with the mob boys still hindering you. Just typing this sounds like good mod material.
Nikolay Дянков yeah that would be cool. since the helicopter can’t really comes lower in the city, the last straight line to the finish line would be the best part for the heli to show off.
Why don't we add the cops because this is an illegal race and the race is going to end because you're in New York because the race is from San Francisco to New York City
My idea for the script is: Marcus just races with Jack without cheating or shooting against him. Clean race. In the final, at the place of the containers, Marcus overpasses Jack's Porsche RSR, Zonda or Aventador (as it happens, although in the final corner the game puts us on Marcus' side) and win The Run. In the final, Marcus say his plans, say about the mafia and, lastly, shoots at Jack, killing him. Honestly, I was rooting for Marcus. Villains are always cooler than the protagonist
Imagine if they made a remaster or even a remake of this game with all the cut content finished. That would be great. But that isn't going to happen because of Black Box. ):
I'm surprised that they didn't use the Porsches for the final race. Being constantly bombarded by the AI from all directions while avoiding traffic and trying to beat the Aston Martin to the finish line seems like a perfect finale to the game, compared to the glorified playable cutscene we got.
Yeah this would make more sense for a final event and why not the attack helicopter wasn't there? Probably because Jack techically destroyed their helicopter with his Audis?
Only 24% people like that game. Ironically even if NFS Payback and NFS Undercover were hated so much they still better than this game. Almost every game is better than F&F Crossroads. This game is a 80GB and have 4 hours campaign like NFS The Run but ironically NFS The Run have more content for just 18GB and it looks more gorgeous. F&F Crossroads make NFS Payback like a real F&F7 or 8.
Going against the train on extreme mode is a suicide mission because driving perfectly is the only thing stopping that train from rearranging your hole 5 cubic feet
The Docks section of the race is probably the most difficult regardless of the difficulty for two reasons. 1. You have to be near perfect with your speed and the way you weave through the containers. 2. For some reason at that part, Marcus Blackwell's Aston Martin One-77 becomes faster than a Bugatti Veyron and rockets in the lead, regardless of how far you are ahead of him at that point.
@@ctacis1370 Trying to beat extreme mode from start to finish was just a giant fist in the hole. Honestly proud I didn't even give up at Chicago, cause some of those races were the definition of bs. Zonda was worth it tho
Calvin didn't mess around and what kills me the most he was undercover 😭😭💀 Edit : thats what i was told idk how true it is my friend said he had a badge on but it looked like a chain
At 3:24 there is again a weird trigger that makes Jack turns on the headlights even though he doesn't go to the tunnel. Kinda like the event with the avalanche there are triggers that can't be avoided before and after the tunnel.
Everything is from the mod called NFS The Run Perfected by MRally2 from NFS mods. It allows you to choose any time of any event play these cut races, add limited edition and more.
At least they should've added the laps in The Run. Something that i didn't liked from The Run is that even the challenges doesn't have lap races. I mean, is understable in the story, but the only reason that i find in challenges is that they didn't had enought time
The only 2 races in the Challenge Series that has kinda like "circuit races" were Porsche Attack and Interstate loop. These were the closest to circuits. Edit: I think for PS3/Xbox 360 there was an event Father of wind that is similar as Porsche Attack.
As Nikolay says, most of the maps aren't circuits, they are point-to-point. Can't do laps if the start line is different from the finish line! They would've had to make new circuit maps, which they almost certainly didn't have time for.
@@Marrrrtin They could have used the same maps, with the same scenery and more road geometry. Though obviously there's basically nothing outside of the playable area, so it wouldn't have been that simple.
@@Oscar97o Exactly my point. They would have had to create NEW roads/areas, which would've been a lot of work. Besides, circuit races just don't fit with the game's theme of being on the run 😉
@@Marrrrtin I agree. The handling model wasn't made with tight turns in mind either, so unless they were all some kind of highway loop they wouldn't have felt great.
The part with the cut intro and the section where the shifting appears was taken from James Bond - A Quantum Solace where he gets chased through a tunnel
This reminds me of the 3ds port where the final race is leaving new york with the cops and the mob after you after finding out the race was just a set up
@@maverick6c631 guy with a moustache is comment king of recommended RU-vid videos, where midnight club still cancelled soz is comment king of racing game videos
I think the reason why the mob was not in the final race was because they were killed off at the end of Stage 8. That's why Marcus was the only one left.
2:17 I think that this challenge is the only event in the game where you have to go through that path instead of turning right to the left side of the bridge. (Maybe in the online playlists there are more with this path, but I don't remember any other than this hidden one).
The closest one that has this path is the Final Event with the McLaren F1. But sadly it is a time race that you can't go much further in the wrong way.
They should've included the chopper, and the mobs during the final race. There also should've been more to it. For example that cutscene used at 4:08 should've been used or like a cutscene that showed a summary of the game for a few seconds should've been used at the start of the final race. It's a shame they didn't have enough time to finish and polish the game. 😔
That last one, is that the same junkyard as the first cutscenes of the game? I feel like both of them are somehow related, like(this is just my theories): Jack is test driving around the junkyard but instead of using the STI he was driving a Porsche 911 and then the Mobs kidnap him and crush him and his 911, but that's just my theory.
Yes it is the same junkyard. Also, it is weird how this Tier 2 was supposed to be Tier 5 WRX (it has the livery, the sound, license plate) but the performance and the kit is from Tier 2. And about that still it is mysterious how Jack got kidnaped and glued to the steering wheel in a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S that is not accessible without mods and the only car that got license plate The Run. But I think you could drive that car in the demo version of the game.
@@inayamei No, no it is a bit different. The limited edition Porsche is 911 Carrera S (991) while the car that I'm talking is Carrera 4S (997). This version appears in the files but not in the final game (except in the cutscene with the crusher of course.)
@@k8-sr495 Also, another sad thing there were most not available exclusive Signature Edition cars to consoles only and only 2 are still available while others aren't. Like Tier 6 Aston Martin V12 Vantage "Lightweight", Tier 5 Audi Quattro 20V "Hillclimber", Tier 6 Dodge Challenger R/T 426 Hemi "Vanish", Tier 5 Dodge Challenger SRT8 "Sinister", Tier 6 Ford Shelby GT500 Supersnake "1200 bhp", Tier 6 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X "Busuto" were unlocked by Weekly Playlists that are no longer available. Either they were released for very short time or the didn't at all. And the only that are still available ar Tier 5 Mazda MX-5 "T-Prime" and Tier 6 Porsche 911 GT2 (993) "Strade".
As a born and bred New Yorker, the way EA just blatantly misrepresents how NYC actually looks in this game, irks me to no end. Like, the area surrounding the Brooklyn Bridge entrances are nowhere near that large. There are no open subway tunnels easily accessible to cars. The alleyways are nowhere near as long, nor do they remotely look the same. Not to say the map has to be a 100% portrayal, but you can't take design elements from various cities around the globe, stick them in a game slap on the Brooklyn Bridge in there and claim it's an NYC stage. It's an iconic city with arguably the most distinct style of any city ever. I mean, atleast try to make a convincing NYC stage.
@@HeroManNick132true true nfs undercover was the worst nfs ever released in my opinion seriously 2 years for that shit? it seriously felt like a psp game that was ported to the pc the filler game which was pro street was way more polished and way better than the actual "flagship" game
@@corollavirus4age I will say NFS Payback is the worst NFS? Why? The gambling upgrading system for upgrading is so frustrating that you need so much luck and money to upgrade your car perfectly. At least in NFS Undercover you can upgrade your cars properly and let's don't talk about the handling that is not any better than NFS 2015 (it is more predictable but still sucks). Plus there are now mods that are being worked for better handling, graphics, more cars and sounds like LegSolo, Hibomb and 1 friend are working for it. Funny how almost 90% of the cars use the wrong sounds or worse version of it . With these mods at least we can fix NFS Undercover to be more playable while seems no one cares about NFS Payback. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
@@HeroManNick132 payback wasn't so bad in my opinion, of course far from perfect but not bad, i agree the gambling system is stupid, also the physics on nfs the run are amazing seriously they should used that, (i still dont know how did they managed to fuck up the physics that bad, its almost like they haven't even played or even tested it just crunched the numbers into the coding and gg) well i am not accounting for mods otherwise nfs mw which is in pretty much gta san andreas level of modder support right now well there is so much you can do before you hit the game engine or map limit you cannot fix poor design unless you revamp the whole thing
@@corollavirus4age Still NFS Undercover didn't deserve the hate because EA bullied Black Box. Yeah sure it is bellow average and first bad NFS ever but that is how when you have to do 100 games at the same time and don't have the time to fix the major issues. NFS Payback seems purposely was made to look bad. Like why the graphics in the trailer seems way better than the final and how 5 year old game even till today even if it is bad still it has the best graphics at night? And yeah just like NFS Heat more promises than added things. Sure it was added more aggressive cops but the problem is they are not free roam cops and to activate them you have to select the random bait crate events and you have to go to specific location to end the chase. Plus it is not that exciting but way better than NFS 2015's cops. Ironically even if NFS Payback is considered one of the worst NFS still it is 10x better than F&F Crossroads aka the worst racing game for 2020 and one of the worst racing games ever made. And the irony is how this game makes NFS Payback to look like a real F&F game. NFS Heat could have been the decent NFS that was close to the Black Box era but EA killed the support of the game and how the worst NFS from Ghost got better support than NFS Heat? That is just sad EA just find the perfect opportunity to kill some studios when they had the pottential.
Meanwhile in a different universe NFS The Run was completed and released by EA which is not a greedy company in that world. Along with other games like nfs mw 2012 as a sequel to its 2005 story. Shame that in this dimension we get stuff that were unfinished.
I always imagine most/all the Rivals during the 1v1 sections race were hired/offered a cut of the pot if they took you out, not to mention this whole cut content final mission makes sense narratively
At 5:16, if you play it at 0.5x or 0.25x speed, you can see some stolen or borrowed footage from the Daniel Craig 007: Quantum of Solace movie. Nuts but I wouldn't mind it, tbh. Just was shocked and caught off guard.
That first one reminds me of the Nintendo version its last leg has you running from the mob the police and FBI in your pagani huyara and its actually really difficult to do it perfectly first try
I remember the days when he try-hard on this game back in 2011-2012 but now he doesn't seems like it. If you want to try-hard like him back then - hood camera and manual transmission.
It's a shame The Mob didn't appeare in challenge series in the final game. About the last challenge most interesting is this stock Impreza WRX STI with pattern from "Scoundrel" signature edition. This video is great!!
And don't forget the sound is basically what Tier 4/5 version uses and not Tier 2. Also the starting scene is unusual because that scene is used in sprint races or rival races and not the scenes that were used for time trials.
@@stancedstyfon1234 7,3L (7291cc) V12 yes almost like One-77's engine but it is slightly smaller (7311cc - One-77's engine). It is strange how Tier 2 and Tier 6 have low-revving rotary engine while Tier 5 has a massive Zonda engine that has only 646 bhp while the Tier 6 rotary 946 bhp. *Black Box logic.*
@@HeroManNick132 eh...it didn't bother me that much...I still loved the game regardless, eventhough a lot of fans didn't care for it...not to mention I never unlocked all the cars lol...I still have the game but I no longer have an xbox 360...since I thought they'd make it backwards compatible
@@stancedstyfon1234 Black Box made the cars to be hard to unlock, especially these NFS Edition and Signature Edition that required either Autolog recommendations, Multiplayer or buying DLCs. And these fans who don't care are typically NFS Underground 1-2/Most Wanted lovers. And not to mention that Black Box did the same thing like back in 2002 when they were making the PS2 version of NFS HP 2 - exclusive content to consoles only - Italian Pack DLC and some cool Signature Edition cars that later are no longer available to unlock since these weekly playlists lasted less than a week or not released at all back in 2013. Barely there is anyone who have like Tier 6 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X "Busuto". It is a shame that there is no mod yet that adds these cars from the consoles.
Actually, im glad its cut bcz seriously, it doesnt make sense that Porsche Cayenne can go over 250 mph just to chase tier 5 and 6 cars unless they only form roadblocks for the player or a better interceptor mob unit like a Nissan GT-R police or a Gallardo Valentino Balboni police If this was a police chase intended for the race, make sense they use powerful interceptor instead of a heavy risky rollover vehicle like Cayenne
Man, i think NFS the run could save blackbox. But it just Soo underrated, because there is a lot of MW M3 GTR fans. Man, imagine, if this game wasn't underrated, back in 2013 or 2014 😒
Well, if you purchase the game you'll get Signature Edition DLC pack (but since Limited Edition was for limited time you can't get it without unlockers, mods or second-hand Limited Edition copy). And I think this mod - NFS The Run Perfected that ISAD used has the DLC unlocker like Old Spice, Limited Edition, Most Wanted/Underground, Carbon but sadly not the last DLC that was released - the Italian pack. If you want the Italian pack DLC you have to get the PS3 or Xbox 360 version, because sadly seems there is no mod or patch that adds them yet.
The cut contents we're weird, especially the WRX restricted ones, it's just laps. ALSO the first cut challenge is basically Final Race but with mobs, which is a bit harder. Edit: The first "Survived" part was not there in the prototype final race, or challenge "Drive Harder" because we're on the right lane. ****CUT**** race is weirder, idk what's the race supposed to be, ik it's T. A. but it's just plain weird. (Also the license plate on the Gymkhana Inspired level has word "Rally" with BBX logo on it.)
Another weird fact that this Tier 2 Subaru has the same livery, sound, license plate as Tier 5 Subaru but the performance and the kit are from stock Tier 2 Subaru.
@@SleepyPopups Another weird fact is that if this is a time race why it has normal starting cutscene instead of these that are made for time races? You know these that have flashing timers that appear for a second. And did you notice at 5:51 that it says finish 1st instead of make up time?
@@remade3616 hell, there are great racing games can stand on their own feets without free roaming like Burnout 3 & Revenge, Split Second, GT4, and many others I lost track on
I actually liked the final race, but it is scripted a lot. It would've been cooler if it was more like the avalanch race from earlier in the game where things were happening as you race. It also would've been cool if they kept the other Mob cars chasing after you.
With the cops and attacking helicopter but that is too much. Also if you pass the barriers before the tunnel the cutscene when Marcus is shooting at you it won't play.
Tbh the story from The Run for Nintendo was slightly better and the end race was great. You do the race to NYC and then you have to escape NYC from the mafias and the police
Funny that is actually the weird transmission whine that even some stock cars have it. And because of the weird sound processing it sounds like vacuum cleaner.
