An NFT is literally just a URL that points at a "digital receipt" which claims that you own the copyright to a piece of digital artwork, but you do not own a physical copy of said receipt no the hosting of the UL, so the second whoever "minted" the NFT in question stops paying for hosting, your "digital receipt" ceases to exist. Also literally anyone who views "your" "artwork" has a copy stored on their device because that's how the internet works, and also your claims to copyright are not recognised by any court anywhere on Earth. NFTs were a bullshit scam right from the start, and anyone who bought in is a sucker.

There are NFT's that have real purpose in video games. Here is an example: Picture getting a sword in lets say Legend of Zelda. That sword can be used in Super Mario Cart as a different purpose or the same. It gives the player actual ownership of the item that has value. Look into Enjin (ENJ) crypto to get a better understanding of it.

Basically, it's a scam. It's putting a digital serial number on a gif that anyone can still just copy because it's a digital image. It's a scam created to milk rich morons out of their money by making them think that it's the next big thing. And they're desperate after they missed out on Bitcoin back when it started.

Charles Slaton It is probably the opposite of a scam since it can be used for any manner of validation of authenticity. Admittedly the first wave use case and iterations of art are 99% hype. Its too soon to know who or where the winners are in the space right now. Pretty much giving your money away at this point.

I saw King of Staten Island. Not really a super funny movie for Judd Apatow standards, but it was a fairly heartwarming movie. Bill Burr and Steve Buscemi were great in it. Crappy ending though.
