Love commentsry runs! TheGodfatherDictator recently did one of NG2 on a no damage MN run and it was both entertaining and super useful for people looking to get into the game or even just beat the harder difficulties!
Great run! Just want to add my own anecdotal evidence that I'm not experiencing any of the stutters or slowdowns I've seen in all your vids. Playing on a used XB1 (original), near-flawless performance as far as I can tell. Looking forward to your sub-1:40 Normal run!
Love the content JB keep it up. Do u think you'll do anymore NG2 runs? I tried your theory on NG2 with no ninja cinema and installed to a clean xb360 an it runs great. Only slowed down a little on the stairs in ch.10
Funnily enough I did the same thing today. Cleared all my NG2 data and it runs fine now. Only downside is I lost all my MM scores including Survival. I am far more likely to get back to it now that it takes about 40 seconds to load instead of 6+ minutes.
Jay, I cannot really hear the name you are saying at 2:09:11? And how can you prevend too many yellow essence are absorbed during your attack is loading at 2:21:43? I know you can prevent absorbtion while blocking, but here I cannot see it.
Who is the other commentator and what is his channel? He mentioned a bloopers video and another speedrun video with both yall commentating again. I really appreciate the commentary, especially from 2 perspectives. It is really interesting and helpful and also fun and comedic. Also amazing video overall. Great gameplay etc.
You just have to input it very quickly, think of the full sequence as one string instead of a cancel and you have to be right next to Alma after the FS or Haze Slash knock down. It does take a bit of practice to get it consistently.
I love Ninja Gaiden Black and Sigma im good in Ninja Gaiden on Master Ninja dificulty but no good like you you are Awesome Ninja Killing Machine i dont belive my eyes what you are doing in this run no save game is incredible mate in my opinion you are true Master Ninja Awesome game and run
Not sure if you’re aware but during the first fiend ryu fight in the archives you can add on the blade of nirrti and still stay on the ledge. At least in very hard maybe it’s different on master ninja. Might knock a few seconds off your fight time
I knew about that but if you add that on it alters the timing to where the double connecting ET won't connect on the clone when he tries to run back up the wall. The double ET does so much damage and sets up the final UT for essence real nice if you do it perfectly.
Watch the fight where he goes down the elevator on the airship around 15:00. He actually drags the blue essence all the way down from the previous fight to have a UT first thing. The counter stops running on disappearing the essence when you are in elevator or other spots where you have no control on Ryu. Using UTs gives more karma points and enemies drop more money when killed with a UT or ET.
The forum we refer to is ngrealm.com which keeps threads for karma runs etc. There isn't a dedicated one for speed runs though as there's not many who run the game.
I’m literally considering getting a 360 just for this game. I’ve been playing NG Sigma 1 on PS Now which sucks cause it’s a streaming service for games so the input delay really messes things up. Seeing these runs inspires me to complete a master Ninja run.
i got no idea how you can do a full master ninja run without saving, id be terrified the entire time about a power cut or my game crashing, imagine getting to chapter 16 only to have your game crash or a power cut, id actually punch through my screen lol
The feeling of the final fight in a karma run going wrong in chapter 1 or chapter 4 is the same lol Odds are you will have spent hours trying to get it the way you want and for some really minor thing to mess you up is infuriating.
I'm sure there are 100% runs floating around if you look for them. They don't appeal to me at all I'm afraid, especially if it means doing the MN stadium challenge. I've thought about doing a video for that several times but it's just too boring.
