It's encouraging that they're willing to openly point out they're mistakes in NHL 19 and show us how they improved upon those mistakes. Obviously time will tell if these fixes live up to there hype, but it's an encouraging step nonetheless

Nice trailer, but we definitely need a PC Version, as the last one was NHL09 and there are so many PC players out there, seeking for a new version which is not only playable on a console! Come on, EA, don't ignore all your possible buyers! 💪🏼
Warmups would be amazing. They should copy 2K and give us like 30-45 seconds of us shooting around with no buckets on and fans getting to their seats with music blasting. Maybe even include a “vote to skip” warmups option for eashl
Sorry but it would be cool to have warmups I don’t really care. If I’m playing online I don’t give a damn about a warmup intro I just wanna play the game. Same goes for the silly replays they always show us idc I just wanna play the game with no bs.

killerskillet just because they send out surveys doesn’t necessarily mean they’re listening. They get a general idea of what we want but have a hard time executing them. They know we want be a pro improvements they just don’t listen to our ideas and never address it.

I know and agree buts thats not on EA. EA doesn’t have the right to do so because the american’s are under contract with universities. They don’t have license for KHL so thats why we can’t see the russian’s. Annnd thats probably why we will never see a WJC in NHL maybe the license is toi expansive

For the way the camera has always been, it makes perfect sense. I just hope the goal animation is more realistic to TV than talking up half the screen. It doesn’t look like it though
oh..I missed it..did they update to frostbite. I love NHL but cannot stand how shitty it looks compared to fifa and madden. I mean look how shitty the crowd still looks! heaven forbid you get a peek of them (which you do because its a damn hockey arena and small)..they all look 1. brain dead 2. like ps2 graphics 3. you see the same cookie cutter fan 8 times in the same shot doing the exact same animation 4. no kids in the crowd..adults only..no food or drinks...

The people that want Be a Pro to be better aren't as worried about the game play and the people that are excited about game play don't necessarily care if Be a Pro gets better. In a perfect world we could just have both... but I understand why EA is taking its sweet time upgrading pretty much anything... if they made a perfect game, why would you buy 21?

How about the puck sometimes actually being lose, players missing passes, the AI actually playing hockey, trying to contest shots and passes and stuff like that? How about the defensemen not leaving the offensive zone on the PP everytime the puck is lost? How about the AI powerplay/penalty kill, will Ovechkin actually be where he should, or will he roam around like a headless chicken?
My wish list: - franchise mode updates, like trade counters, which were in nhl 2k10 lmao - TOTAL overhaul of be a pro, add a story, cut scenes, off ice stuff, etc (draft day) - This wont ever happen, but EACH CITIES own real life commentators and goal songs. Would way rather have that than this new presentation - Scoreboard on the bottom just isnt right, needs an option to put it back on top - Have the three stars SKATE ONTO THE ICE after a game. Was in NHL 09 lol dunno why they took it out - Anthems/ in be a pro have the ability to control ur player during warmup/ in between plays/ walking into the locker room in be a pro - Make draft day real in franchise and be a pro, make it so ur actually in the draft arena waiting to be drafted, and walk up the stage after being drafted and everything. And as a gm announcing all the picks and having them walk up would be super cool, having a sim option to skip however many u wanted or watch them all. This probably wont ever happen, but it would be AWESOME. - Game mode "Be a Ref", ability to be a ref in local offline or pc vs pc game lol would be fun - Think thats all for now lol
It bothers me that be a pro from previous games like nhl14 is better than what we have now unfortunately most of that stuff will not be in the game although it is awesome
Ok I was pretty skeptical about this game aside from gm mode improvements but this might’ve sold me on the rest this all looks really good. But I’ve said that before...
Maybe make career mode more realistic with small things like the New Years classic, skills competition and somehow making money something important and something that you want?
For what it's worth I'm definitely buying it. There's tons of gameplay changes, changes to franchise mode, more game modes, and hut will probably be just as good if not better.
I don’t mind if this isn’t in the game this year but this is just a thought so don’t hate on me. I was thinking of having the series score in the playoffs above the scoreboard just like in real life. I think that would be a pretty cool little feature to add in
EA you actually fixed a lot of things very good! Now all we need for BAP is: -Story Mode (doesn’t have to be in depth just something to keep us playing for a purpose. Also bring back interviews lmaoo) -Request Trade -See your BAP lift the Stanley Cup
People are always hating on the game for its flaws but don’t understand how long it takes to fix them, sure some smaller things can’t be too difficult but overhauling animations based on real players is a ton of work
They have every right to complain. To develop a game it takes minimal 2 years, not 10 months. They gotta stop pumping BS every year and take time to make a game. Spider-Man for example had 3 years of development and turned out amazing. Too bad that’ll never happen
I have bought the game and it doesn't make fun. NHL 19 was much better than NHL 20. The goalkeepers are very bad and the Scoreboard on below is irritating. The only good thing is that the graphic is better than before.
I was gonna get NHL 20 but the other day when I was at the store I saw the price of NHL 19 drop by 50$ so I decided to get NHL 19 and update the rosters myself and save 50$
NHL 19's presentation is better than NHL 20... Why did EA Sports remove the NBC Scoreboard and overlays ???... Like Madden 20, NHL 20's presentation is generic and unrealistic again because of this. The NBC presentation helped sell the game... EA Sports is going backward with NHL 20. It reminds me of the days of PS 2...
In a year 2019 i really hope you will put more effort into details. What really bothers me are the details of spectators. They all look the same and that is so unrealistic. I know it is not that important, but for me it is the detail that makes the whole experience more enjoyable. Also things like when you go line change in be a pro. Your player gets stuck on the ice for around 3 seconds before he actually jumps on the bench. These are just the two things that really annoy me as I really look for details in games.

They say the same thing EVERY YEAR "This is the most realistic gaming experience ever". I will believe it when I see it. Hopefully they really did fix the "seamless" puck pickup.

do you think, if this game flops, maybe ea could take a year off the nhl series to give the developers more time to actually work on the game instead of rushing new features every year? idk, it sounds like a good idea to me, and im sure the majority of the fanbase is willing to be patient.
Thank you EA for this game. I was absolutely disappointing in NHL 19 as it had way too many bugs in it. It seems they really listened to the customers for NHL 20. I'm absolutely in love with it. I feel like i can actually push the play to their maximum potential without tripping somebody. The shooting has also improved as it's easier to score with a wristy and players aren't losing the pucks from their stick as easily.
WhoKnowsWhat all we need now is custom goalie helmets. The system would be easy to make, I’m not sure if you’ve played any forza game but their paint job customization is damn near perfect. They add a whole bunch of design patterns as well as different stickers that you can change the colour of and place anywhere on the car, have it like that put for a helmet. You could also type things, like your name and stuff and place it on, just have the same censorship as they do with player names. And you would unlock certain stickers or design patterns as you progress. They can’t let a person paint their own stuff or else you’ll just get a bunch of dicks and swear words out there.
It is ridiculous to me that they are not releasing this game on steam. Literally one of the biggest gaming platforms. The most used platform for pc games and yet there is not a single EA sports game there.
Game play looks solid. But I wish there was a 30 second warm up with music. Also wish there was a little bit more scraps around the net, and maybe scraps behind they play.
So they finally dump the NBC fanfares, but how about the crowds, goal songs, arena music and team presentations? The crowd SOUNDS HORRIBLE in comparison to NHL 14.
Massive props for showing 19’s flaws and how you improved upon it for 20. Safe to say I’m excited and for the most part, based off visual judgment, this looks great
It would also be awesome if EA could make it so that you have the options to pause and resume in the Stanley Cup celebrations, in case you want to take a screen shot, or record some (or all) of it, and then actually be able to finish watching it afterwards.
When is commercial break coming? I want to have 2 commercial breaks / period with 5 minutes of commercial like coca cola, skoda and so on so i can drink coffee and think about buying the skoda and soda. I love commercials.
