Building is probably the best par of this game. I've built like 10 teams. I try to keep the trades under 10 and then sim the entire season + playoffs. I've won 2 Cups so far. :D Also like 7 Calder Cups lol

Here’s an Idea- ur only allowed to sign 5 or less players in free agency and you can only resign 2 to 3 players a year. You could do a rule where the first year u can’t have a player above a certain overall as well. So far really like the new series idea!

Just take big contracts and trade them for picks and cap room, or other pieces. If you can get some extra draft picks, you can always combine them for a higher pick. Get as many pieces as possible, you have to fill your AHL team still, and you'll have room at FA after the draft to fill depth. I was able to get 2 3rds for JVR, and offer sheet Kubalik. Trade anyone who doesn't want to re-sign/you don't want to re-sign at the draft for picks.

Still feel like they should have been the 'Seattle Emeralds' and not the 'Seattle Kraken'. Seattle being nicknamed 'Emerald City'. The emerald shape makes for a solid base to a team logo. And gives a third type of green jersey to the NHL. Minnesota = Dark Forest Green. Dallas = Bright Forest Green (or darker shade of Erin). Seattle = Emerald Green with Sage undertone (opinion). Aka dark grey-ish Green with logo and stripes giving the jersey depth and brightness.
