I always got a kick out of the unconventional name "Mighty Ducks of Anaheim." I can only imagine the groan that hockey traditionalists let out when hearing that, let alone they came within a game of having that name inscribed on the Stanley Cup in 2003. I still enjoyed watching them with Kariya, Selanne, Rucchin and others. They were fun.

Anaheim's intro is the most notorious. The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim were a marvel to behold in the 1990s. Not only were they owned by Mickey Mouse. They had 3 movies and an Animated cartoon based on them... That I am surprised to find on Disney Plus. What a time for hockey.

NSH - it's a surprise that the inaugural game took place, given that Music Row was nigh on destroyed by a rampaging crudely-CGI sabretooth tiger ATL - "Atlanta, you have an NHL team!!" - like you did in 1972, and like before you'll lose this one because you'll tire of being the NHL's resident Guildford Flames tribute act. MIN - I think this hockey game's quite popular in Minnesota, don't you? VGK - quite a fitting tribute to the first responders, and a performance to match.

I’m glad there are more Ducks fans coming out to defend the Disney Era of the team. The mighty ducks movie is what got me into hockey and the Ducks team, made me love it. Plus the original logo and colors are so good.

If it wasn’t for the biggest trade in NHL History (Wayne Gretzky to Los Angeles), the game of hockey may never have grown to warmer-weather markets the way that it did. Whether or not you think Gretzky is the GOAT, that move had such a huge implication to hockey’s growth.

Man, it feels so strange to see almost all of these home teams wearing white nowadays. It feels even stranger to see the Blackhawks’, Habs’, and Red Wings’ standard red and Flyers’ orange jerseys worn on the road. Also, remember when there were ties in the NHL? Damn, so much has changed since then.

ranked (going off of everything on here) #1 vegas - i mean after the whole vegas shooting, that’s an awesome intro #2 columbus - i might be biased, but i liked them going into the locker room and that they aired the pregame speech #3 san jose - it’s just cool. #4 minnesota - nice tie back with the north stars. would’ve been cooler if the stars were the opener. #5 tampa - simple but got the job done. #6 nashville - the cgi sabretooth tiger was weird. not bad, the expansion speech being added was nice. #7 atlanta - forgettable, like they were for the city of atlanta. #8 florida - didn’t know rimer was on the panthers broadcast team at one point. the florida intro was cheesy. #9 anaheim - disney on ice. very cheesy. #10 ottawa - talk about cringe.
