It's funny, the Raptors and Leafs are polar opposites of each other despite both teams playing for the city of Toronto. Toronto Raptors is Toronto most successful and winningest franchise, while the Leafs is Toronto least successful franchise. Toronto Raptors wins playoff series, while the Leafs lose playoff series. This is why being a Raptors fan is better than being a Leafs fan.
@@thomy1955 Leafs haven't won a playoff series in 18 years, lmao. Longest cup drought in the league, losing to Boston in 2013, 2018, and 2019 in the most humiliating way possible. Losing to Zamboni driver. Losing to Columbus and now losing to Montreal. You're funny
@@sebastienlaporte3427 yeah it was weird how they started comparing this glorious sport where men compete at 30km/hr on ice, to the Circus of TallMen. they each got they place in the world but one is jokes and the other is real
@@Jenjoshstars2012 yep, we could of put it away in 5 or 6. If we lose 3 elimination games in a row we don't even deserve to be there. Habs win i will be cheering for them all the way.
What a way to win the first Canadian game with fans, forcing a game 7 with another OT win. Everyone in the Habs locker room should hug the goalscorers and especially Carey.
But Carey Price is out for the year and Allen has been dogs### for half the season. (He got better in the second half as he normally is but not enough to bring the Habs to the playoffs)
@@algrundau9441 would you put Anderson in even if he was ready? Campbell is doing more then enough in net, game six could have been out of reach in the first. It's not like Freddy's playoff experience in game sevens is anything to get excited about.
@JONATHAN DELLAR How about Georges St-Pierre? How is that for a good Canadian name! I'd pay money to see him dismantle Wayne Simmonds and Nick Foligno together as a tag team! LOL
yeah man ti-paul is my favorite player and he always come HUGE when it really counts, i love his speed and he can play bothsides, such a beast on the PK team.
How can you tell who your biggest rivals are? When you play each other in the playoffs and it doesn't matter what happened in the regular season nor does it matter who's at home. I've seen it over a dozen times against the Bruins and now I see it against the Maple Leafs. Rivals somehow become evenly matched and I'd have it no other way. When my Habs play the B's or the Leafs, it's rivalry hockey and standings don't matter. I have waited 38 years for this...and win or lose, I am ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT!!! The last time the Habs and Leafs met in the playoffs, I was three years old so I had no concept of it and didn't really care. I started to care about two years later but really became a hockey fan at age seven. So I really have waited 38 years for this. It's a dream come true.
Price is clearly outplaying Campbell. If you can't see it then you are not looking for it. Btw Price already let in his one softy for the series. Don't expect to see any in G#7.
GO HABS GO!!! GO HABS GO!!! GO HABS GO!!! AHHHHHHHH!!! WHAT A THRILLER!! And fans are back too!! Love it!! This is wonderful. Mai Oui. Le Coupe Du Stanley, Madame and Monsieurs!!
My first ever Habs game was a Playoffs OT winner in 2017 and this game today really took me back to that night and the excitement I felt. Get that W in 7, boys! Go Habs Go!
I hope so to.. may just may Sheninigans and his failed plan will be shown the door. In 5 years the management has failed to bring in a leader and or players that have tasted success past the 2nd round on a consistent basis. Even by some miracle they fluke a win in game 7.. This team is anything but a playoff team. 2 games in a row they have failed to come out playing.. Just fking sad.
This series is setting new records. -First time a team gets to G6 with no points from their D. -First time a team comes back from a 3-1 deficit by winning in OT after giving out the 3 goals and 2 goals lead. Whatever happens in game 7 will be huge. Im taking for the Canadiens with the upset in Toronto.
I just saw the highlights but there is so much energy and intensity in the game. A definition of a great playoff game. Feel jealous to spectators who get to see game 7 live!
Still laughing at the Leafs fans bolting out of the arena as soon as the majority jumped for joy! Always fun to see Leafs fans waste their money on their favorite team! lol GHG
Been a Leafs fan most of my life, but I hope Montreal wins Game 7. They are the only ones who play like they want to win, and would actually give the Jets a test in round 2.
The only times I've been a Leaf fan: Having my food cooked in a banana leaf in SE Asia. Having a big toke off BC bud...the best Leaf of all. Peggers going to slam the Habs ...not the Laffs.
Even though my Bruins are playing game 2 with the islanders Monday night-I may have to watch this game 7-as hard as it is for me to say this-gotta give Montreal credit for forcing a game 7-what’s gonna happen in Toronto should the leafs lose?
Toronto "Expert" Picks to win the Series: Elliotte Friedman: Leafs in 6 Chris Johnston: Leafs in 6 Caroline Cameron: Leafs in 5 Jeff Marek: Leafs in 5 Jennifer Botterill: Leafs in 5 Eric Francis: Leafs in 5 Wayne Scanlan: Leafs in 5 Colby Armstrong: Leafs in 6 Mike Futa: Leafs in 5 Nick Alberga: Leafs in 6 Sarah Nurse: Leafs in 5 Gord Stellick: Leafs in 5 Ryan Dixon: Leafs in 6 Gene Principe: Leafs in 6 Luke Fox: Leafs in 5 Eric Engels: Leafs in 7 Mark Spector: Leafs in 6 Justin Bourne: Leafs in 5 Christine Simpson: Leafs in 5 Ken Wiebe: Leafs in 6 David Amber: Leafs in 6 Dan Murphy: Leafs in 5 Kyle Bukauskas: Leafs in 6 XDDDDDDDDDDD
This Leafs team is simply not built for playoff games thats why they fail again and again they have 1 more chance but i doubt they will rise to the occasion i just cant see it happening
@@Scottieguru I get happiness from both. I know the Islanders lost tonight. Not saying were winning the cup but it’s just funny to see the Leafs getting in their own way again.
@@FleukYT I don't! We all make choices in life. It's not like anybody put a gun to someone's head and said: You have to be a Leafs fan or else! They have their Sportsnet and TSN to thank for all of the ridicule that comes their way. They deserve all they get! No soft spot at all! lol
This honestly isn't a joke anymore imo. It was funny when the Leafs lost to their Zamboni driver. It was funny when they keep losing to Boston on the 1st round. It was funny seeing them screw up qualifying losing to the Blue Jackets. This whole series for the Leafs, if you've been paying attention has just been heartbreaking after game 4. A team that is clearly outplaying the Habs in almost every way possible is about to be eliminated over the dumbest small mistakes that almost all other teams can get away with 50% of the time. This is legit depressing.
@@francisgoulet3888 As a Habs fan I feel I have to say I disagree that they ouplayed the Leafs... they might have in the 1st and 2nd, but if you look at the shots and possession time, the 3rd and O.T. was all Toronto
dude, they are just a hockey team.... maybe it's the fans that need to chill - and ps. there is absolutely zero correlation between multi-year franchise teams other than the logo (and the carry over of some players and staff/ownership) - I love all the armchair psychics (gm's) that think that WE are cursed or that we somehow deserve ridicule for.. what? being the biggest city in a country where the sport was invented/popularized? get a life.

@@keven1643 Ignore the replays in slow motion. Of course, you're right - straight up goals, man. The Habs, however, get all their goals off deflections, redirects, goalie mis-handling of pucks etc.
The top players on the Leafs are producing nil. Spezza has been their best player, 10 years after his best before date. If the team choke again, major changes are required in both player and management personnel!
I have to watch on mute. Being an obvious homer on a local feed is one thing, but you're a national broadcaster ffs sportsnet. At least try to pretend you know what being netural is.
Imagine, the two teams that were favored to be swept and out scored (Habs and Jets) come back to go to the finals in their own special way. Jets sweeping the Oilers, and Habs taking it to game 7 to win... Good hockey? Yes please... GO JETS GO, GO HABS GO!
@@cdn-killswitch222 there isn't a Canadian team this year that will beat any of the American teams by the third round. Said it in April. Coaching done Edmonton in. They gave way too much ice time to Mcdavid. Killed the other lines ability to get in the series. Pat Quinn stated years ago rolling lines wakes the team up. Its why Wpg (the team i'm cheering for) to look on another level.
@@coryjohn4057 "Any other team has a much better chance then Toronto" That's all I said in my comment, where did you see me saying a Canada team is gonna win the next cup??
If Toronto wins game seven it will go down as the single greatest sports achievement in all of sports history, but if they lose: Blue Jays Baseball!!...SportsNet has it for you.
assuming the leafs' chance of success was 50% (reasonable assumption) in elimination games (of the other team), the odds of them not winning any of these games is 1 in 128. For example, say you flipped a coin 7 times. With seven flips, we have 128 possibilities, with only one of these possibilities being a successful one (T-T-T-T-T-T-T). Thus, the probability of flipping seven tails in a row in seven flips is 1 in 128.

I root for any other Toronto team.. Raptors.. Blue Jays.. Argos.. whatever soccer team they have.. but never ever the Leafs.. lol
The fact that it’s going to game seven, Toronto should be embarrassed, as a Habs fan though I am excited as all the leaf fans that have been chirping me for last week have now all of a sudden fell silent
