Luc tranchemontagne It’s kinda hard to see, especially since there wasn’t a good replay, but it looked like he was elbowed as the puck was coming towards the net. You can see he kinda flinches backwards a bit

No brodeur came out to challenge the shooter to take away less net, I wouldn’t talk about what goalies do when your not one yourself. You don’t know what someone else is thinking so don’t automatically assume you know what they are doing.

@@BUG-Ryman Whether or not that's the case, Jokinen is still entitled to that space. It's far away from the blue paint- Jussi is providing a perfectly legal screen. Around 3:24, you even see him looking to make sure he's above the crease before he slides across. Brodeur, by coming out as far as he did, still is the one who initiated the contact. Also, Tripp Tracy, who was a goalie, said Brodeur was looking for it.

I don't think it's a penalty as long as it stays on the ice and isn't thrown towards the puck during play. Although a flying skate blade is pretty dangerous in itself.

If you ask me, I think it's beyond ridiculous that the fastest game's top league is still being reffed by humans in skates in 2023. Put one "ref" on the ice just for health reasons, 2-3guys with skates but OUTSIDE of the rink to stop fights if there's one....and the rest should be done by one or 2people OUTSIDE of the rink who should have the ability to call retroactively if he notices foul play on replays. I mean f^#& me, 80years ago when the Bruins called the cops on the Habs, they had to run into the office upstairs, call the telephonist and ask for the call to be routed to the police. Today we all have smartphones, players have fucking IPads on the bench, we evolved! But the fuckin reffing is the same as it was then 😂

@@hoozoohleague8264 there are several off ice refs and all video reviews are processed by them that’s the whole point of the situation room in Toronto, they have also retroactively overturned calls. They just don’t do it nearly enough

@@Megarah0 they make some calls. I'd rather they triple the size of their studio and make all of them. All of the them should also be under review a lot more severely. Players, coaches, gm's...everyone gets fired if they mess up. Refs and DOPS mess up twice a week 😅 ofc they don't really mess up, it always goes a certain way that's quite easy to predict sadly

It was ignored because Boston didn't have the puck, so it's not an issue for the referees. You don't get a whistle in that situation

Jeffy Logan I’m a goalie too and the ref said that the crossbar was a goal it happened 2 time in the same period the kid hit the crossbar and they counted it didn’t even go in But the ref said it was close to the line that’s not a goal😤😤
