Best thing about the Canucks this year is that the entire team is in it. It isn't 1 forward and 1 defense line, it's every single line putting in the effort, every single line scoring. Amazing.
@@joycenkenes Don't be stupid. The 11 team would wipe the floor with any of today's NHL teams let alone the canucks. This team's been playing great but they still don't have the depth and they still have to many times where they are scrambling around. The 11 team almost never did.
@fortnightnumberone9227 2nd in both the Pacific and Western Conference. And 4th in the League standings. How stupid do you have to be to not understand that? 🤣
Good bounce back win tonight for the Canucks. DeSmith continues to give solid goaltending performances. All the lines played well, especially that 3rd line.
Who would have thought the trade for Casey DeSmith would have paid dividends so quickly for the Canucks. Just one of many off-season moves by Rutherford and Allvin that fell under the radar but is so significant to their current success.
@@reaganharder1480 They traded Pearson to Montreal for him. Vancouver definitely won the trade but Pearsons been very good for Montreal and the entire thing was part of a bigger thing to dump Hoffman and Petry so it’s definitely worked out for both teams, just a lot more for Vancouver.
Quit giving Rutherford any credit. He's an asshat. Criticizing the canucks during pre-season last year, let it be known they were trading Horvat, and let the media know Bruce was fired before Bruce knew. He should be the GM or PHO wherever Babcock is the next head coach... which is nowhere. Complete douche canoe.
Can't get them all. We reset for next game and keep improving. As for the Canucks, it refreshing to see them so good and competitive. Best of luck to them.
This was the perfect answer to an acceptable loss. Going into Toronto, where the Canucks have been bad, against an underperforming Leafs team was tough. Move on, get right again.
@@skateordiedevwell Toronto is the better team so it makes sense why Vancouver would lose. Montreal is not a good team so it wouldn't make sense for Vancouver to lose.
The fact they lost last night, traveled AND had their back up, I'd say they did very well. As a Leafs fan, or fan of any team really, you're not going to win every game. The best thing you can do is let it go and move on to the next one
@jeffreycairns767 very true. DeSmith is playing solid A F as well which is a really nice change of pace - knowing you'll have a solid goaltending night without Demmer needing to be in every game.
@@Gam3rC4m I'm a Leafs fan so I'm glad they won but do you think it would have made a difference if they switched goalies last night to tonight? Do you think the Cunucks would have gotten the sweep of the East based on their entire play both games?
@@jeffreycairns767 Nah, from what I heard on the radio play by play the Nuck's weren't playing as aggressive or as well as they have been against you guys. As such, it gave your team the better chances to convert. The better team won it. Doesn't mean I like it 😂 I would have rather taken the L against Ottawa hehe.
As a habs fan, I wish things had turned out different, but it's still great to see this turnaround by Vancouver this year playing the best hockey in years. Congratulations to the winning team.
Great road win against Montreal on the road! I like the new defenseman Ian Cole's physicality he adds to the Canuck's game and I also like the added depth new forward Pius Suter adds to the Canuck's offense! And the new #2 goalie, Casey DeSmith, is a solid back up goaltender thus far in the season!
Косатки красавцы!! Поздравляю с победой!!! Смит выше всяких похвал!!!! Очень достойная игра всей команды, собрались (не смотря на поражение в предыдущей игре) и дали жару!!!!
@@zBastiaan21 Yeah, cause DeSmith was a wall. Peterson didn’t have a goal either, does that mean he had a terrible game? I didn’t expect people who hate watch a 19 year old to have smart logic but boy are you outdoing yourself.
I don't know about him being the best hab tonight but he did put in a lot of effort. Unfortunately he kept fumbling the puck and messing up the chances he had. At least he tried though.
Nice bounce back game from the Canucks with a great effort from all 4 lines tonight... DeSmith has been a fantastic addition to this Canucks team as he continues to be solid & reliable whenever he's called upon to guard the goal....The funniest part about tonight's game was the goal horn sounding in the 1st period after the Montreal players shot clearly hit the post... The goal horn guy needs to cut down on the alcohol consumption before puck drop...
Lol. Right! That was weird. And how good is Casey getting 9 of a possible 10 points in his 5 games. Those are sweet stats for a #1 let alone the backup!
We as Vancouver fan's really needed this win for a couple of reasons, mainly to rid our minds of thinking this has all been a dream and because 2 losses in a row easily becomes the start of a losing streak and the fanbase thinking we are cursed. But another great reason is to start your Monday morning with positive vibes and positive shoptalk with work colleagues. We just need to feel like winners. I will die happy if I can get two things before I leave this bag of bones, number 1 disclosure and physical proof of aliens for the world to see and accept as absolutely true. number two The Vancouver Canucks win the Stanley Cup. I think that would be enough
Nice! Got to hand it to the Lafs yesterday. They really took it to the canucks. This is a nice response from the team. This is the kind of effort after a loss where they really got outworked and out played, that makes me start to believe this team is for real. Their structure has been pretty great overall and they haven't let themselves get broken mentally. What a nice change! lol.
@@TheHenryDuong The lafs played a good game. I'll give them credit. The canucks have beaten better teams than the lafs though. Not too bothered by that loss.

Haha Definitely whoever took care of the equipment during the second intermission Failed at Gia job Don't hink I've seen two blades fall off pretty much back to back Was funny
That should shut up the Leafs fans from last night. The pathetic and childish shots they were throwing after the game in Toronto. You'd swear they thought they had single-handedly derailed the Canucks' season based on that one game. Tonight, Vancouver answered as I expected. Brought their work rate back up to the standard it needs to be every game. Passed a stern Montreal test with flying colors.
@@JB0i All you have to do is go watch the highlights of Leafs v Canucks and check out the cesspool that is the comments section. You'll get your answers there. 'CaNaDa'S TeAm', is a frequent term some of them were using.....
GGS Canadians. Tjis was a great game. Lots of hard hits great puck movement and Garland was an animal great hissle boys looking great. Desmith looked great and in control. Go Canucks💙💚💙💚💙💚
The Habs didn't get any bounces, they weren't playing that bad. Caufield seems to lack when scoring on 5V5, he needs to slow down due to offside calls. Anderson was very impressively good but he still doesn't score. Slafkovsky's best match with MTL. Dvorak's solid as a third line centre. Guhle playing like the best defender in the league. Allen was very decent, nothing too bad. Off to Tuesday against the Flames.
Yeah, talk about bad breaks. We see players lose skate blades every once in a while, but I think this was the first time I saw two players on the same team in the same game lose blades.

Habs fan saying great game by the Canucks - hopefully Edmonton can turn things around so every Canadian team can throw some fear into the opposition. We never should’ve let you guys have DeSmith! Lol! 😂
Tocchet is exactly right. There’s no point in any one player being fancy if no one else knows what they’re doing. It becomes a low percentage play. Like no-look behind-the-back passes, which are infuriatingly dumb 90% of the time.

Im always stressed wifh desmith in net however i have no reason to be he hasnt proven he shouldnt be trusted so idk whats up probably just cause he is new to the team but hes for sure kicking ass
I felt the same at the start of the year i personally kinda wanted silovs ;) But I now feel bad for ever thinking such a thing Hes looking rather calm and composed out their unlike last year watching martin making a good save but always some rebound that resulted in either mad scramble or what often looked like some new breakdancing routines; hell he even turtled himself once How their is no funny compilation video of all that is beyond me !!!!! ....but desmith wow, hard not to be utterly impressed with agility and form He's gonna do us and demko solid all year round ----> Thanks Montréal...glad the trades worked out good for both teams
So i doht know hockey at a super high level otherwise id ve a gm for a team, however on the canadians goal that was called offside why did our player just leave the guy in front of the net alone after fightjg with him for a bit why not clear the path to the net?
30+ games minimum. A 5 or 6 losing streak can make a massive difference, especially if another team has the same as a winning streak. They're looking good but it's still early
@@Jingling-MelO yeah, this team certainly looks like a playoff team, and especially with how dogshit the rest of the division is, I'd say we're doing just fine to get in there.
Sportsnet, please stop spoiling the results of the game in the description. PLEASE. Good bounce back game from the Nucks with all that said. You know, I felt like the Canucks were fighting the ice all road trip long. Passes not connecting, pucks hopping over sticks, etc. But The Canucks battled through it this game, even better than they did in Ottawa, and I thought they really proved they wanted to win in the second period, and followed it up with a VERY solid third period. Props to the team for sticking with it, and battling every shift for that win. You can really see their compete level in these games.
Crazy how many points petey has while seemingly not even playing at 100%… I know a lot of Canucks fans feel like he has another gear to his game we haven’t see yet this year
Weird that all 3 games on this road trip had 5-2 scores. Good result winning 2 of 3 away from home and great to see the return of Blueger. Happy for Garland too finally scoring after his last goal on opening night. And DeSmith has been awesome for a backup getting 9 of a possible 10 points in his 5 starts. Keep that wagon rollin' boyz! Props once again to Sportsnet for the long clips. Big fan. ❤
Playing back-to-back on the road, the Canucks were under siege at times, but DeSmith was strong in goal, and Conor Garland was flying tonight... the last empty net goal showed me something too - Boeser and Miller both could have scored, but both chose to pass to award Di Giuseppe with a goal after PDG was doing yeoman's work all game (actually, all season) long. Such is the sign of a good team where players are playing for each other.
I know I sound like a typical Canucks fan, however, given this team’s history I chalked this game off as another loss with the home game vs NYI. Now I’m actually hopeful of a win on Wednesday, where as in the past, automatic loss at home after 2+ road games. I mean it’s still only 15 games in but don’t this team just feel different?
Nice to have a quick bounce back effort. Short memories lol. Keep the train a rollin boyz. Good effort by the candiens as well. Hopefully the future looks bright for both these teams
Are you kidding me!!! Canucks are 11-3-1 😂. Get the points in Montreal and have some smoked meat on a bagel. Plan the parade down Robson and Davie street all the way down through Stanley Park. So much good content for Vancouver sports radio and podcasts like Rink Wide with Jeff Patterson and Halford and Brough 650am radio in Vancouver and the feud between Thomas Drance and Rick Daliwal is lit. The 2023/24 Vancouver Canucks are the only team since the 1984/85 Edmonton Oilers to score this many goals in their first 15 games of the season. That year the Oilers went on to win the Stanley Cup. You can certainly see the similarities between both teams. Pettersson {Gretzky}, JT Miller {Messier}, Hughes {Coffey}, Hronek {Huddy} Boeser {Kurri}, Demko {Fuhr/Moog}.
These short clips of games are good, but I don't like the way they consistently fail to show critical penalties or reviewed offsides. A big part of this game are the decision seams, what's called and what's not. As much as the NHL doesn't want to emphasize that, it's what makes any game more interesting.
