Zack Akai very cool. It’s kinda interesting that a lot of music between the game play is hard rock and the odd metal song with some pop. It definitely fits the high action atmosphere of the sport.
@@elektrik_exekutioner6822 Hardly... Possibly in the last few years. And besides that, death metal has never been mainstream in a larger scale in the whole music industry.
Death metal mainstream? What are you talking about? Just because it has a larger following than other extreme metal genres doesn’t make it mainstream. It’s still a very niche music genre. The only metal genre that attracts any mainstream attention is core Heavy Metal stuff and whatever Slipknot is.
Johan and all of Amon Amarth are really cool guys. My friends and I waited to meet them for 2 hours after a show in freezing temperatures, And they came out with warm pizza and water for us! I will never forget that!
Got to a show in St. Louis early, they were all hanging out at the venue outside their bus. Me and my buddies had a plastic viking helmet we bought at a halloween store. We waltzed our way to their bus, with myself wearing the helmet. They got a kick out of it and all signed the helmet, answered questions about random nonsense we asked and just chilled for a bit. Cool dudes.
@@Meemitalo_ Seriously? Metal (particularly the extreme variant) is still a niche genre of music. The majority of people have probably never heard an extreme metal band. There are even videos on the very subject of exposing people to extreme metal for a reason. Just last week I introduced my uncle to harsh vocals. Trust me, I guarantee that at least a few people decided to check out AA after this clip and were shocked.
@@fullhazard1 It's true that lots of hockey players listen to rock. From my experience, they don't listen to extreme metal in large numbers (like society in general). I've been playing hockey and listening to metal for 30 years. I currently play hockey on Saturday morning and Tuesday night. We listen to music while we play. I'm usually the one who plays the music and I can tell you that if I played AA, the music would get shut off. Even the guys that I know listen to hard rock and some metal are taken aback by extreme metal and harsh vocals in particular. There was a time when another guy who I know listens to extreme metal accidentally put some metal core on his play list. When the song came on, most of the guys acted like aliens had landed in the building.
@I'm not a troll I promise I'd say well played. But you're too obvious. Change your name and work on actually hooking people in before you make it clear that you are a troll. Then grow up and find a real hobby.
I love them. Met Johan at a gig here in Stockholm and we talked about their mobile game. Such a great guy, insanely nice and genuine! I love how nerdy they can be when it comes to stuff they love
I'm not a troll I promise U calling me Liar Thief then say it to my face Troll .What are u tube Bully lives behind screen .Why don't u have real Name Not Fake name Have something hide Troll
This is by far one of my favorite bands which is neck to neck with meshuggah. Amon Amarth for anyone that likes metal/Vikings/Thor type themes/history visuals with battles this bands lyrics are so perfect that with each song you can literally picture the theme and visualize yourself in the battle or prepping for battle and so on. Other bands are great of course but this one seriously has the gift of pulling you into each song. Black Birds Cry is one of my faves.
Mr. Santhropy : It is estimated that about 600000 (wich of about 110000 are members of a congregation) muslims live in Sweden. Sweden has a population of about 10 million people. Most people that say Sweden is a muslim country are conspiracy nutjobs or just liars that try to justify their ideology. So no, Sweden is not a muslim country. We are a very secular nation.
Pretty cool. Hockey is the most Metal of all sports. You can hear Sepultura, Maiden, Van Halen etc play during breaks. Always thought that was one of the coolest things about the sport.
@@jasonchilton5023 Sacrifice something to Odin (one of your eyes, perhaps) and maybe He will grant you your wish. With Him on Our Side We Are Victorious!
Johan is a Caps fan? That retroactively makes my Amon Amarth concert experience all the more better, even though it was in Boston. Go Caps and can't wait for the new Amon Amarth album!! 🤘
I've listened to Amon Amarth for about 14 years, and played ice hockey longer than that. I never knew Johan also enjoyed hockey, though. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see them live again.
I see Amon Amarth every touring cycle: every few years. Great band, and they usually have good supporting bands: skeletonwitch, entomed ad, exmortus. Good stuff!
3:14 lol Färjestad is the hockey team in a town called Karlstad as he said, didn’t know he played for them but that’s legit my fav team 🤪 the world is pretty small sometimes!
@@youdont.needtoknow In Sweden I'd say he's the biggest since he scored the GWG in the olympic final 1994. Of course winning 2006 too. Lidström is not as big as he should be in Sweden. Forsberg always showed up for the national team which is the biggest thing in Sweden since few could watch the games in the middle of the night. Nowadays we got some games at watchable hours on the weekends.
You could argue for all three of them; of course, I'm partial to Lidstrom being a Detroit native. But I always had tons of respect for Sundin as well, though maybe not so much for Forsberg during the height of the Wings-Avs rivalry. Doesn't mean I never recognized his talent, though just think if he wasn't hurt at the tail end of his career...
yeah. a few years ago him, some of his bandmates, and Grutle of Enslaved were at a Bruins game before they were to play at the House of Blues in Boston. and there's photographic evidence to prove it. it was an awesome sight even though I personally didn't see the picture until a couple days later.
Saw Amon Amarth in Boston in February 2014, and Hegg walked onstage wearing a Bruins jersey. He and his bandmates had gone to see a game along with Grutle Kjellson of Enslaved. Sporting their Amon Amarth hockey jerseys into the bargain. With Johan and Grutle, the weekend was brutal! twitter.com/amonted/status/429681538830450688
Peter Forsberg is the greatest Swedish hockey player ever. Period. THat said, Amon Amarth is a kick-ass band, and it's good to see them being covered outseide the metal media.
