He was calling every team the Canucks, so this shouldn't surprise anyone. He also said Mcsorley got caught in 4k in 1993. Hah. At least he said everyone's name correctly, unlike lots of other hockey videos lately
As a person from Vancouver, having the Habs being called the Canucks is insulting to me too. So is saying the Dallas Stars are from Vancouver. Clearly competence isn't high on this dude's priority list.
@@The_Earbo "a mistake" would be him doing it once and missing it in editing. incompetence is doing it repeatedly and not even knowing what the mistakes are that he needs to catch. This person clearly does not know the name of the team from Montreal, what City the Canucks are from, what City the Stars are from and several other of the most basic of basic facts about the NHL. Things he could have learned by simply READING the list of teams and cities.
@@The_Earbo That's not the point, the point is the complete lack of attention to basic facts. and I'm not mad, I'm mocking them for spending all this time watching clips of plays, but not bothering to read the basic facts of the clips and teams. That's just sloppy production, and that kind of sloppiness leads to all kinds of misleading information, including and especially in things more important then just sports and games.
Just to correct, in 1993, the Canucks . . . euh Canadiens coach Jacques Demers knew about McSorley's stick since the first game of the series, and he didn't want to waste the penality, and waited for the right moment to make the call, wich came at the end of game 2 and gave the momentum to Montreal to win the cup .
7:21 it’s just a shootout if no one scores in the three periods. A penalty shot is when a player interferes with another player who was clearly on a breakaway
You can CLEARLY tell that you don't watch hockey! You mix up team names & mispronounced players' names! Like Patrick Roy!!! & FYI, we didn't have 4k in 1993!!!
8:07 I don’t remember this game but based on this explanation Khudobin’s stick throwing literally didn’t affect the final outcome at all. Vancouver was winning the shootout, and they still won even without being awarded that goal. What am I missing?
Let's not forget that Ryane Clowe of the San Jose Sharks played a puck from the bench and didn't get called for it. I don't remember the year, but it was against the Kings.
I was at that game. It was in 2012, second to last game of the season. Sharks won the game 6-5 in the shootout, that was in the last few minutes of a tie game. Sharks ended up as the 7 seed and the Kings ended up the 8 seed, but of course the Kings went on their crazy run and won the Shiny Thingy that year.
Actually, he was calling them the Montreal Canucks, and calling the team from Vancouver the Stars in an earlier segment. Getting basic facts right is clearly not high on this guy's priorities.
Buddy called Montreal Canadiens the Canucks (Vancouver) not once but 4 times 😂 I don’t think this guy knows hockey enough to be posting these videos. He sounds like when your girlfriend tries to talk about sports 😂
"This man got caught in 4K during the biggest moment of his career." Bro. NINETEEN NINETY THREE! The first 4K tv didnt come out for another 19 years. Is 4K a new term for potato?
Ha faceoff you said Canucks that’s the Montreal Canadians not the Vancouver Canucks bro . But it would be nice to see the Canucks winning the Stanley cup back in 1993
McSorley using an illegal stick was the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. He was a goon. He wasn't there to score goals so why use an illegal stick? Just dumb
The Vancouver Canucks have not, but the city has, thanks to the Vancouver Millionaires, though that was about a hundred years ago now. Fun fact, the city of Victoria, BC has also won the Stanley Cup, courtesy of the Victoria Cougars, when they were a pro team and the cup was fought between the NHL (and their forerunner the NHA) and the defunct PCHA (Pacific Coast Hockey Association).
Wasnt sheldon keef that got spezza and it wasnt cause he said he shaves it down that means cut it at the top legally... the leafs checked his sticks before the game cause it was a home playoff game so they had access to equipment for a few days man. God damn.
Illegal stick is only a 2 minute minor? barely a slap on the wrist. (I know someone will reply it happened at the very pivotal moment in the game but that is just this particular game) I'd think it would be a game misconduct at least.
Bro face off I know that people have probably already told you this but your videos are so interesting and your editing is so under rated you are amazing man keep it up
Bro take Vassey off your thumbnail. He’s not a cheater at all. Plus he’s no where in your video. Only the incident with Watson who wasn’t targeting that other player. Dude was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I agree with the other comments. Apparently you don’t know anything about hockey.
Why are you showing the great Vassy in your thumbnail? You're a joke. May you be thumbed down into oblivion for not only calling teams by the WRONG NAME but putting a future hall of famer in your thumbnail for no reason.
