I see a six, maybe seven, game series coming out of this. Both St. Lou and Boston are hard hitting teams that like the physical stuff, but I must pull for the Blues for the revenge factor, having to wait 49 years to get even with the Bruins. And the large media market factor to be taken into consideration when announcers pull for Boston instead of St. Louis ( a small market club). Here's hoping the one that gets the crumbs will, finally, get that cake.

Thank you! Unfortunate he was hospitalized but that's his own fault. Sundqvist shouldn't have been penalized or suspended for that hit. If Grzelcyk skates into the boards the right way his head is never there and it's just a routine check

At 5:42 you see the ref looking directly at the hit, but doesn't call a penalty until the Bruins player goes down. Why is that?

Anuj Vyas it wasn’t due to the injury. It was a pretty clear cut boarding call regardless of the accidental head contact. I am a blues fan, but you have to look at plays like these without that emotion. The penalty was deserved but I don’t think a suspension is. It wasn’t a clean hit and Grz really put himself in a bad situation here. All in all I hope he’s okay and I hope the league allows Sunny to keep playing.

I disagree actually. I'm a blues fan and I think that hit was completely clean. Yeah Sundqvist hit Grzelcyk in the head but that's Grzelcyks fault for the way he skated into the boards. I mean what did he think was gonna happen at the NHL level if you skate like that? Unfortunate he was hospitalized but that's his own fault. Had he skated in correctly his head is never there and it's a routine check

Bruins had 6 men on the ice for the first goal, krug didn’t get a charging call on the blues first game but then they suspend Sundqvist for game 3 on his clean check. Bruins do the exact same hit on Blais no call. Seems nhl and the officials want bruins to win. Blues get called on everything. It’s playoff hockey it’s gonna be rough that’s how the blues play. Dunn coming back will help. LGB

I'll say it, the Bruins are floppers. If LeBron James played hockey he would play for the bruins. Granted one guy took a good hit, but most of the time it's acting. Nothing makes fans more irate than those childish games. If you can't win without selling calls, you have no business playing any sport in my book.
