love the video, and am certainly a fan of a lot of these guys gameplay - just wish a few of them (or these types of players) weren't so full of themselves. I'll never consider a top player in the game one that makes his team suffer around him when things aren't going their way. Won't name names but hopefully a few people can learn a few things from this video. Odie and Skillz tips deff gave me a few pointers I don't think about enough on defense.

A lot of these tips could be known from playing hockey. I know most people don't play hockey in real life that play video game hockey. These r excellent tips. For sure to help anyone's game.

This is absolutely the best hockey video on tips for NHL, amazing video man. I'm a relatively unknown player that can't seem to find a consistant group outside of 3 buddies that play this style. Everyone is so aggressive in club 6’s tho how do you take your time without giving up the puck? I play with 4 friends that are new to newer hockey games idk how to teach them any of this stuff. Anyone have any advice?

You have two options (btw another one of these is in the making): 1. Learn to protect the puck like an elite HUT player 2. Play a lot and work on making FASTER decisions. It comes with practice and you'll screw up, but if you learn your mistakes you'll start moving the puck like a maniac.

Unfortunately not everyone has 5 solid teammates who know what they're doing. Forced to play with noobs in drop in. That's not really a good tip, *get good teammates*

It's NHL 18. You need team skill not just individual skill. If you want to take your game to the next level you need teammates who can help you get there. It's great advice. That's why these tips are for players looking to jump from being above average to elite

Between the Pipes trust me, I dont have team skilled or individual skilled teammates. Even when I join leagues and other shit, they bring me down. I try to work with them and play their style. Shit doesn't work.

join a league. there are plenty... lghl, vghl, sphl, fbhl...im not sure about xbox leagues, but lghl is both xbox and ps, as is the fbhl

Lots of guys use jumbo playmaker, some power forward, some grinder.

In 6s the bigger builds are better. In 3s you can get away with two way dangler and playmaker because there's more space

3’s only (don’t play 6’s): Power Forward at wing. When I occasionally play on d, it’s DFD. I really think PWF is the best build for all noobs, and for defensive-oriented forwards because of the defense, speed, and largeness. Ive never had issues with pass accuracy using PWF and DFD and both have lethal slappers. Unfortunately both also have issues aiming shots but they eventually go in. TWF is a good option at C.

Between the Pipes There’s nothing I enjoy more than steamrolling an opposing Dangler and sending him flying out of the zone. Only skilled players can make the Playmaker, Dangler type builds viable in 3’s. They’re probably better for competitive players in fact, for 3’s. In drop-in or casual, or for newer EASHL players, bigger builds for sure. IMHO.

Well some people play for fun. Some of us play for competition. I've played with or against all of these guys. I love competitive hockey and hate just playing for fun. Everyone of these guys is better than me and but I'm really good also.

MultiJanuri Here in Europe we have some really sick teams and players. The majority of the best players in Europe is from Finland/Soumi. They have so many skilled players and teams. I can link a clip down in the comments or a link to the biggest european league for nhl 18 :)

Finnish Eashl Teams are all the Same based on their own Style to play the Game. Fast, aggressive,offensive and Quick breakouts with forwards at the blue line. Forced the cycle for cross crease Passes or shot One timers.
