Niagara Falls Exploring Souvenir Shops + Walk on Clifton Hill 🎡 And Parade Of Athletes!

Welcome everyone 😊! We take a walk on a rainy early Sunday evening in Niagara Falls, Canada to explore some of the many shops located on Ferry street and CliftonHill.
We start our walk near the Skylon Tower and walk to Ferry street and stop in at some gift shops looking for a pin for my backpack. I will show you what I bought later on, on Clifton Hill. We will also stop in at a restaurant which has a very nice large patio located at the back of it and take a look around.
We will walk to centre street go in a popular gift shop and then walk to Clifton Hill.
We will enjoy the sights along the way and also stop and watch people singing Karaoke, and continue walking to the bottom of Clifton Hill.
The Canada Games closing ceremonies are taking place this night so we will get to see the thousands of Athletes who participated in the games. Its very exciting!👍🥳
We watch the parade of Athletes make their way to Queen Victoria Park for the celebrations. We will walk to the park to have a look at the festivities.
We end the walk overlooking the falls. Try listening with headphones or earbuds 🎧.

Great tour despite the weather early on. The Skylons were in Battlestar Gallactica or did I get that wrong ha ha. The weather perked up a bit for the amusement park. I've not been to one of those for many a year. The park looked busy so I'd be giving that a swerve. It's the hermit in me ha ha. Cheers, Paul 👍

We really loved the views from the revolving restaurant in the Skylon Tower, but I have to say, I was disappointed by the food... But fantastic 360 views!

I have not eaten at the revolving restaurant in a long time! About 4 years ago I ate at the buffet restaurant below it for the first time and was also disappointed with the food. Yes the views are amazing! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great week. 😊👣🇨🇦

Hi Scott. Thank you so much. I you can find the hours on the Clifton Hill website. I tried to add the link here but it wouldn’t let me. Generally most things open at 11 am but the SkyWheel is 9:30 am. The full list is on their site. Hope that helps you. Good morning Nettie. Oh there is so much to see and do…yes lots of shops and places to eat. Its interesting, some people who come to the falls for the first time are surprised by all the shops around and some think the falls are surrounded by mountains and when they see it are disappointed. Hi Chris another enjoyable look around here. So busy for a Sunday evening but i guess it is because of the Games closing parade is athlete's, hehe the guy waving all of the flags :) Loved seeing the Scottish ( I think they were !) drummers especially . There are so many shops and eateries around Niagra Falls , its great and they must do so well with people visiting the falls . That ferris/ sky wheel must give amazing views . Thanks for the walking to our, that's a very busy tourist area! The good part is we've never been there before, but if we do we'll just have to rewatch the video again and we'll know where everything is, These are great we really love these videos! Ate at the tower in Niagara Falls many times. My boyfriend's mother brought a letter opener all the way from her trip around the world to him in Buffalo. There was one of the same in the tower shop just like it.

The Rock Store was really interesting and they had a lot of variety which I enjoyed…no pins though. It was pretty cool to see all those athletes in one place. I’ll never forget it! I appreciate you stopping by for the walk. Have a lovely weekend. 😊👣🇨🇦

Hi Geno. There are so many places to eat …you will have many choices. I passed some on the walk but there are many places to eat also on a street called Lundy’s Lane.

Hi, Christine. Thank you for having me. In spite of the weather, It was a lovely waking tour. There are many shops and restaurants along the streets to explore. I would love to purchase one of glass art for certain. They are neat and beautiful to look at. There is so much energy at the parade of the athletes! Show off some unique character cheering up! There are a few Starbucks in that area …the one I walked past is on ferry street …it’s right next to the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. There is also a Starbucks at the top of Clifton Hill right on the corner and there’s also a Starbucks inside of the Sheraton on the falls Hotel on Falls Ave., you can’t miss it because it’s a massive hotel you’ll see on the left hand side if your walking down Clifton Hill. Hope this helps. 😊

Yeah ... I recommend against "souvenir shops.". They are almost always tourist traps selling cheap products at a huge mark up. I actually wish most tourists would refuse to give such ships their business. Wouldn't it be better to encourage shops who actually sell things of greater interest or value? You can still buy souvenirs - the word literally means "to remember" - without all the cheap crap. Perhaps objects made by local artists or artisans. A good test ... Would the store also draw locals? Just a thought to everyone reading. Do what makes you happy, please. But think about it. You might end up with souvenirs that actually mean more to you in the end.

Hi, thanks for your comment. I agree some places are priced too high but there are also places that surprisingly are reasonable but you have to take time to look at different shops. I like to stay one day at the Double Tree. It does look nice! We stayed at that boarded up motel 20 years ago. Wouldn't go back. It was to rowdy for us. There was almost a fight between a group of young people and a family. To bad it started to rain again on Clifton hill! LOL when you left the gift shop and the guy's were arguing and never heard you! Cool the guy's invited you into the restaurant! A pleasure to drop by and walk around the falls with you. Thumbs up and hope you have a wonderful day!👌👌😁😁❤❤👍👍

Yes I know the double tree looks so amazing! Hopefully one day they will let me record inside. Ya I think the boarded up motel is not opening anytime soon. Kudos to the shop owners who let you in to have a wander through. Very glad you found your pin to add to your collection. I had a small collection on a fanny pack about 20 years ago but then the Guardian angel pin my sister gave me got caught on something and got ripped out of the bag...yours looks like tougher fabric/leather, but make sure it doesn't get caught on objects. I still regret having lost that pin but try to think that maybe the angel protected me somehow. Gosh, your vids always make me reminisce about things! It was fun walking with you along the street. So fun seeing all the athletes gathering. It must have been really exciting participating in the Canada Games this year. Have a great week!

Hey Donna. It was nice to go In the shops but I wish more shop owners were more open to it…. It’s free advertising! I just started collecting pins about 2 months ago. Awe that’s too bad that the angel pin your sister gave you got lost. Yes I’m occasionally checking them to make sure they are secured properly.
