He was just talking about how he gave 1000 dollars to someone that called him in the beginning of the scene, maybe she's sick of her husband giving their newly won money away. Which is a legitimate thing to get pissed about. Imagine if your wife wins a million bucks and you're thinking to use it to change your life and before you do anything real with it she just starts donating it or giving it away. I'd be pissed too!

When I was in high school this movie had just come out and they would give us these little newspaper magazines to read in one of the classes and they had an article regarding this movie and the person who wrote the column had the title of this movie, "Cop gives waitress million dollar tip." I laughed pretty hard when I read that knowing that was not the correct title.

They didn't use overdone and unnecessary color correction back in those days. What you see in the clip above, from the movie 'It Could Happen to You (1994)' are 'realistic' looking colors. These days they use so called 'cinematic colors'. This started to happen after The Matrix in 1999. But the people behind the Matrix had a good reason for the color correction, it was part of the story telling. But in typical Hollywood style, when a movie becomes popular, all other studios try to copy it. "Make it look green, teal, orange and it will be successful"

They were shot using film stock/celluloid (as opposed to digital cameras nowadays). The colors were bright, details were sharp, and generally more organic and pleasing to the eye.

4:28 I believe this was a none script movement, the actor fell but continued to play the part as they decided to keep it in the film. Really adds to thr attention to realism that even the most professional of forces may have accidents happen on the scene.

It's a film. Every shot, every placement of a camera is done with military precision. That was no accident.

@@Tourist1967 That's not really how it works. They do multiple takes of scenes because the actors make mistakes sometimes. If they have a physical accident, the director sometimes opts to leave it in because it makes the movie more realistic. It's like a stunt you didn't pay for. Tom Cruise broke his ankle jumping onto a roof but completed the scene limping, and they left it in because it was real!
