Great to see your back on the gold, those little bits do add up and the good thing about it is that when you're finding them there is a good chance that a big bit could be next. Cheers, Peter T
Cheers again Dan! Its hard going these days, i went out yesterday and come home empty handed. Put in some long hours too!! Ah well, thats how it goes. I was using the 19" coil over some old patches, i guess the 14" did the trick. Cheers and good luck out there. JG
Hahaha not wrong. Id say its dry now. We're finally getting onto some good weather, hope youre getting out more then me. The missus just had twins!! So its all hands on deck..... and no hands on detector :(
Good job mate, I just hope you rechecked that last hole, cause i am pretty sure if you have a look as your retrieving that last little flat bit there was another one just under your fingers. Have a look at the vid and tell me what you think.
Hey Jgold, what settings are you using on the GPZ in that country? I detect in similar country and after 3 years with a 5000, bought a 7000 a month or so ago. Everything sounds the same to me, shotgun pellets, bullets, ground noise all sounds the same. Any help much appreciated. Phil.
Gday Bill, I go over my settings in this vid. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--sd0p1cBhOo.html they vary from day to day, but i start off with roughly those and tweek it from there. Also, do frequent noise cancellations, that will help smooth it out. Good luck. JG
Just hit the bell . How many times has that spot ben detected , maybe the rood is lined with GOLD ! Maybe it has never ben detected . Just food for thought .
A few every summer. Mostly copper heads and they are pretty harmless. I just leave them alone and they leave me alone, but i always carry a bandage just in case.
I do a fair bit of hiking in Victoria and always carry a Snake Bite kit. The first 14 or so most dangerous/venomous snakes in the World unfortunately reside in Australia. Although Victoria doesn't have any Taipans, it does have Brown snakes, Tiger snakes and red belly snakes If you're hiking or prospecting on your own in the Australian Bush, especially away from major cities and towns, snakes are the ones to watch. Australia may not have the Apex predators African has, but its snakes are lethal if you're unlucky enough to be bitten. Like your video's btw. Especially your enthusiasm when finding even the smallest gold nugget. (imagine how the miners felt in the recent huge mine shaft gold find in WA?)
