hey everyone,
Nipped out for a quick session at Fort Victoria to try and get into a Bream or two. Managed to get the target and a nice hound too. Session was unfortunately cut short due to some epic rain

Thank you Simon, yeah I think it's a nice tweak. Would save rigs getting ruined by congers, and allows the bait to float about a bit more in the tide. The rain is incredible. No chance of getting out this week, heavens have well and truly opened 🎣🎣👍👍🙏

Thanks Chris, was nice to get a bream still, and good to see the hounds are still there. This weather has really put a stop to things at the moment, but hopefully be out again soon. Yeah the reels are super smooth, and super lightweight. Paired with the rods it's a very light setup. 👍🎣🎣

Another good session Dylan, you're getting some lovely fish at the moment, well done. Weather looked a little challenging towards the end, Autumn is certainly here ha! I'm hoping to hit the Gower in a couple of weeks, might catch something else other than Conger 😂. Great upload again bud, always look forward to watching your videos. Thanks Gareth, and thanks for saying that, I think it's far more luck than judgement, but I'll definitely take it. It's brutal here at the moment, I had hoped to sneak out this week, but with this rain, and feeling under the weather myself, I just haven't managed to. You know what it's like, the pressure of getting some footage together becomes a bit overwhelming sometimes. Mate you keep those congers coming, you've had some nice ones. My best is still only just over 8lb, you seem to pick those up all day long for fun. Stay safe out there buddy, I'll look forward to that next upload of yours my friend 👍👍🎣🎣🙏

Yeah man, it can be super difficult sometimes, and I knew we had the wrong tide, but I reckon it was fishable even with the run off. No not tired fishing dude, it's more the pressure of getting a video together. I go through it every now and then. The filming takes over the fishing, just need to swing it round again. Uploading every Friday is quite difficult. I'll sort it. Need to come up with some ideas to fill the spaces is all. Trouble is, everyone does rigs, maybe doing some cook ups, but that means catching some food😂😂. Thanks mate👍👍🎣🎣🙏

Nice mate, a summer species Swan song maybe? Been a funny year with the weather, not heard much in the way of trigger fish coming in off Chesil at all, the cod showed up but have been very patchy compared to last year. Good to see you out again though 😎👍

Thanks buddy, yeah I reckon it might have been, although I see you're still getting into the bream. I think by the time I get out again, they might have disappeared. I remember seeing a few triggers last year on some vids, it definitely seems different this year. Not so many hounds about, and the spiders haven't been around like last year either🎣👍👍🙏

To finish on such a good 'starry' made the wet conditions well worth it 😊 ... By the way what did you think of the Shimano Aeros? ... They can be quite expensive when bought new😢 ... Thanks John, yeah I reckon that second one was in size, but for me that one was too small. It's funny isn't it, maybe the camera is playing tricks. The aeros from first impressions, are really nice, super smooth, super light. My rods are both under 500g, so I have a super light set up now. Just over a kilo on my each side. I got a really good deal on those. 130 with 4 spools for each reel. I really can't complain🎣🎣👍👍

So little tip for ya, get too warm n take ya hat off.. love the video. I like the way you build up the suspense when you catch the Hound, Hitchcock like. You don't use many swivels on your rigs?

Lol, sometimes it's the simple things😂, that's the sort of thing I'd have said to my kids, and really should have taken it off. I hope you're enjoying the uploads. I'm experimenting at the moment with my two hook rigs, one up one downs, flappers etc. The last few months I haven't been using swivels, and have noticed no difference at all. I sometimes have them on, it's mainly due to some of the areas I fish being pretty snaggy, if I'm going to lose a rig, I want it to be as cheap as possible 🎣👍👍👍

Thanks Chris, most definitely did enjoy the bream thank you. First go with them, obviously they cast the same as the ultegras as it's the same spool, but they are lighter and smoother. With the rods and reels I'm only about 60g over a kilo on each set up, making them super light ght and comfortable to use🎣👍👍
